Xbox 360: Dead Space Review

A new contender in the survival horror genre, Dead Space makes a great impact.

When it comes to the audio, the game excels in probably the most unlikely aspect of the game. The sound effects are just incredible. The sounds of the ship are haunting, as expected, and they will supply some scares. Isaac, himself, provides some...

Dead Space 2

Dead Space 2 made me angry.

I can't recommend this game. I know a lot of people who are having a lot of fun with it, but it just makes me tired.

Dead Space 2 is a Visceral experience on Xbox 360, PS3, PC

In space, no one can hear your arms get ripped off. But you can hear what Alex has to say about the sequel to Dead Space from EA and Visceral Games.

With this sequel, Visceral Games has masterfully expanded on the first Dead Space. They’ve revved up the series with tougher guns, a bigger setting, and online multiplayer, but kept the spirit and, most importantly, the scares of the original in tact....

Dead Space 2: Severed Review for the XBOX360

It slices, it dices... you know.

Same great sound and atmosphere; Great combat sequences; More backstory, revisiting the Wellers

Who the hell are the Wellers?; Where are the Zero-G sequences

Is this just another sequel or does it out perform the first game of the series?

Dead Space 2: Severed Review

10 Cents a Minute for Cut-Rate Dead Space

It's six bucks for more Dead Space 2 action

Barely an hour long; change in perspective undermines subtexts of main game; ties into transmedia marketing so the story is not complete; far too repetitive and redundant; no scares

Dead Space 2: Severed Review

A focus on intense combat makes this brief return to the Sprawl a satisfying one.

Maintains a gripping intensity for its brief duration ; Return of twitcher necromorphs is welcome ; Characteristically excellent visuals and sound

Unsatisfying story ; Uses mostly recycled locations ; A bit overpriced at $7

Severed delivers more Dead Space combat, pure and simple, and that is no bad thing. This return to the Sprawl offers up a quick fix of action that maintains a high level of intensity and doesn't overstay its welcome. At $7, this desperate journey,...

Dead Space 2 Playtest: Flexible Action, Disconcerting Horror

There's no chance to relax in Dead Space 2; you're always worried that things are either too quiet or too noisy to be safe.

2. Dead Space: Extraction is included with the PS3 version of Dead Space 2. It’s a light-gun game, sure, but the story is even stronger than Dead Space 2′s, in my opinion.

Dead Space 2 Review

Sometimes the inner demons are more frightening than the outer ones.

Excellent pacing and intense action; impressive presentation and visuals; new emotional depth

Multiplayer modes feel tacked on; some repetitive sequences; AI can be a little cheap

That minor misstep aside, Dead Space 2 is one of hell of a game. The hero's newfound voice adds an emotional impact and resonance that the original game sorely lacked, and I genuinely wanted to see Isaac conquer his inner demons nearly as much as the...

Dead Space 2

Another mundane Necromorph massacre.

Making Isaac the hunted instead of the hunter, and not simply pitting him against some oversized brute with shoot-me-here yellow sacks on its shoulders, makes for a thrilling role-reversal. Unfortunately, after this encounter, the game returns to its...
