Something Different

DJ Hero is definitely a fun game and as DJ Hero 2 nears its release date, shoppers should be able to find the DJ Hero bundle for pretty cheap. If you have started to grow tired of guitaring, singing, and drumming to your favorite songs, you should...

As if you didn't have enough plastic musical peripherals lying around your house, Activision decided to make one more to add to your collection. Without it, you're no longer the cool kid on the block... with it, well, you're still not the cool kid on...

A great package with a fantastic peripheral, diverse track list and addictive gameplay mechanics. The only hurdle you may have to overcome is justifying the fairly high price tag, otherwise, it's a must buy.

I first picked up a fake plastic guitar in late 2005. It was a demo in a gaming store, and I plinked and plunked my way through Iron Man. It was a fascinating experience that wound up changing the way I play video games — indeed, it changed the...

Comprehensive set of music, spanning a wide set of genres, all completely original just for the game ; Great gameplay mechanics with a very comfortable and smooth learning curve ; Simplicity in play that feels more pure than some of the story-driven...

At its best as a solo experience, which is really unfortunate ; The DJ/Guitar combo feels kind of awkward ; Hefty price tag

If you're a huge rhythm gaming fan, you probably have room in your heart for this game, and it is fun. Otherwise, seriously, track down a demo or find a friend first to see if you think it's worth it. That price tag really does sting. It's a solid...

Scratching

A shot in the arm for the music genre. Fundamentally different from Guitar Hero and Rock Band. Excellent soundtrack. Tons of unlockables

Extremely bare bones in the presentation department

Being a DJ is fundamentally different than performing in a rock band and DJ Hero is fundamentally different from its genre siblings. The difference is present right from the moment you open the box as the wireless turntable controller will be staring...

There's a plethora of music games for the consoles now from various companies but to keep it fresh you need something different. Activision thinks it has the next big thing though with DJ Hero and after seeing it at E3 I thought this could be a fun...

An interesting first game in the musical genre that tries something a little different. It's actually a nice little game that can be fun to play. The music's pretty good as well as you play farther in. I liked the controller but there could be some...

DJ Hero (Xbox 360) Review

Spinning and scratching comes to next generation consoles with DJ Hero on the Xbox 360. Featuring 93 mixes from 102 hits, the game packs one of the largest music game setlists to date.

Instead of going for score attack and paying attention to the notes in a Gorillaz mash up we found we were following the flow instead and pushing with the song. While we were not always on time we were moving on our way up from three stars to four...

DJ Hero Review

It was only a matter of time before the Hip-Hop and Reggae genres were tapped by Activision for the video game treatment. DJ Hero is the latest peripheral driven music game set to take up more space in your living room. This time around you're asked to...

It’s unfortunate that the pricing structure for the game is a steep hill to climb, but you won’t go wrong with the quality put into the product itself. It’s certainly a game at least worth trying, and renting. I don’t’ believe I would recommend buying...
