Dragon`s Dogma

Being a big fan of adventure RPG's, I was curious aboutDragon's Dogma, so I made a mental bookmark and moved on. But then I began to hear more about some interesting game mechanics that piqued my interest. Your characters go into the games of other...

The same complaint comes to mind when talking about the sound work: unbalanced. Characters have a bad habit of talking over one another, especially pawns when out questing. You never know what you might have missed! The soundtrack is decent, as is the...

Dragon’s Dogma

Every once in a while a game comes along, it may have some fairly common elements like dragons or dungeons and you are just about to pass it up when you hear some interesting things about it. Say that there is an online community of player created...

Looks great ; Plays great ; Love the Pawns ; Love hauling people like a sack of potatoes

Weird looking NPCs ; Some frame rate drops ; Might be too big for some

Dragon's Dogma is an impressive RPG. There is strategy and action enough for just about everyone and the unique Pawns are great. I hope more games like this show up. Well worth the purchase for any RPG fan.

Dragon's Dogma

Capcom has gone through some major changes over the past couple of years. Following the departure of Keiji Inafune, the company has struggled to establish a new identity. While the company has some historic IP's such as Street Fighter and Mega Man,...

Dragon’s Dogma may not be the best game of 2012, but it is certainly one of the most surprising. Intense and refined combat help an otherwise average RPG become something special. This game redefines the concept of boss battles with confrontations of...

Dragon's Dogma

Capcom sure had some high ambitions when they started developing Dragon’s Dogma. It seems like they took inspiration from numerous games, bundled them together, and then added their own flare on top of it. Getting familiar feelings of Shadow of the...

Dragon’s Dogma (Xbox 360) Review

Capcom's epic RPG tale is finally here. How does it shape up? Find out inside.

Dragon’s Dogma had the potential to be an epic RPG, but is plagued by issues. The world of Dragon’s Dogma is large and vast. The story starts off Epic and makes you want to play the game. The combat is fluid, and the pawn system is great. But it’s...

Dragon's Dogma Review

Engrossing and frustrating, Dragon's Dogma is a flawed and unique gem.

Fantastic combat encounters against awesome monsters ; One of the best boss fights in any role-playing game, ever ; There is always a surprise around the corner ; Atmospheric touches that make the world feel authentic ; A series of striking choices...

Tedious backtracking through familiar territory ; Exasperating pawn behavior ; Bizarre quest-related and story events

Such moments are the culmination of Dragon's Dogma's outstanding combat scenarios. These are some of the best-animated creatures in any game to date. You've never seen chimeras like this: part lion, part goat, part snake, and all fearsome. The lion's...

Dragon's Dogma

If the insane J-Rock theme that erupts from the title screen isn't enough evidence, having your heart plucked out by a dragon's fingernail within the first five minutes seals the deal: Dragon's Dogma is a bit... different.

The second truly characterful RPG to hit in recent weeks, Dragon’s Dogma doesn’t quite match up to the grim, Eastern European splendour of The Witcher 2. It does, however, provide an adventure quite unlike anything you’ve played before, with an...

Dragon's Dogma Review

A fiery breath of fresh air.

Original concept; Challenging enemies, towering bosses; Astounding level design; Open world ready to be explored; Solid pawn system; Lasts for a long time; Transparent loot system

Story and world could be cultivated further; Lip-synching issues, NPC dialogue overlap; Clipping issues, graphics can look dated

Strictly based on the status quo, on dissecting a game through the standard reviewing procedure, Dragon's Dogma should be given four stars out of five, but it deserves more than that. I'm usually the critic who nitpicks RPGs for their storytelling and...

Dragon's Dogma Review

Dragon's Dogma seems like a strange, bold project for Capcom. Combining a Japanese development team with concepts widely associated with Western RPGs, it's shooting to hit that lucrative market that's been getting into titles like Skyrim and Dragon Age...

The first moment you mount and clamber up a giant enemy like a miniature version of a Shadow of the Colossus boss. Awesome.
