Fight Night Round 4: Button Controls Detailed

Over at the official Fight Night blog, EA Sports developers have released the details on how the Fight Night Round 4's button-punch controls will work after they are introduced to the game via this Thursday's patch. Here's the rundown:Button Punching...

Review: Fight Night Round 4 (Microsoft Xbox 360)

So the game feels like an arcade game, and defence is nerfed? And there's an online mode? You know what that means: bring in the punch spammers!

The good news is that Fight Night Round 4 hits all our checkmarks for a good game. It rates well in a lot of different areas. The bad news is that it disappoints in the areas that count. The balance issues simply can’t be overlooked, and turn what...

Fight Night Round 4

What night is it? Fight Night! So put up your dukes and get ready to throw down in this knock-out of a review.

The game is a lot of fun, but will probably be a little disappointing to longtime fans of the series. Sadly, much of what it's missing comes in the form of various options that wouldn't have been that hard to include. Particularly disappointing is the...

Fight Night Round 4 (X360)

The superficial nature of Fight Night's single player game modes is overshadowed by excellent presentation values, great multiplayer, and absolutely stellar boxing.

Excellent boxing engine; amazing presentation; solid multiplayer; large and diverse cast of fighters; character creation works very well

Poor supporting gameplay modes; button mashing can be a bit too effective, especially in online play

Fight Night Round 4 (PS3, Xbox 360) Review

EA Canada takes the reigns of the Fight Night franchise, do they score a knockout? Or does Fight Night Round 4 fail to live up to expectations?

As a boxing fan Fight Night Round 4 delivers in all the areas that I was looking for it to improve on. It exceeds Fight Night Round 3 graphically by so much that it's amazing to think how beautiful everyone thought Round 3 was in 2006. The fluid total...

Fight Night Round 4

Beauty can hold many definitions for different people. It can be used to describe a significant other, a cascading summer sunset, a serene, translucent lake. Or, if you're like me, beauty revives memories of Ali and Frazier dancing around the ring and...

This is the best boxing simulation out there, bar none. Although the game has its flaws, it still provides a thoroughly enjoyable experience, one not to be passed up.

Fight Night Round 4 review for the XBOX360

What has two thumbs and loves smashing virtual faces in?

Unbelievable physics-based gameplay; Simplified fight mechanics; Beautiful character models; Accurate character creation; Brilliant online and single-bout play

Spotty default roster; Basic career mode

Round 4 is all about revolution through detail. Its incredibly accurate physics system doesn't just set a new bar for boxing games, but for all games across all genres. Newton's laws of motion haven't mattered this much in a game since Pong, and...

Fight Night Round 4 - Review

Every now and then there are always a handful of sports titles that aren't artificial enough to be slapped on by the last-two-digits-of-the-current-year EA sticker where the lack of direction and ever-so-present limitations in time tend to be self...

After all, if one can’t convince one’s peers and parents that Marcus Fenix and Machismo Co. look human-like, especially the Cole Train, then let’s cross our fingers that Manny Pacquiao soaked in Digital Veggie Oil will. There’s really no surprise that...

Fight Night Round 4 (Xbox 360)

I play boxing videogames with the same kind of over-the-top obsessiveness that role-playing gamers put into the latest RPG. I craft -- I said "craft" -- my fighter from scratch, create him in my own likeness (strange as that sounds), and even hang my...
