Gatling Gears Review

Gatling Gears takes mechs and gives it a Steampunk makeover.

So, is Gatling Gears worth buying? Yes, if you’re into twin-stick shooters, steampunk or are a raging environmentalist. In fact, the answer is still yes even if you don’t fall into any of the above categories, as Gatling Gears is a surprisingly fun and...

Vanguard Entertainment's Gatling Gears places players in a steampunk-themed environment where the main goal is to destroy everything in sight as enemies pour towards you in waves. You're given several different upgradable weapons to attack with, and...

Gatling Gears has many faults that contribute to several bland qualities from indiscernible visual changes between levels to battles that feel repetitive and mundane. Setting up your own boundaries for challenge is one of the few intriguing elements to...

Gatling Gears - Xbox 360 review at Thunderbolt Games

The Mistbound universe is a place where dapper men of science with full, bushy mustaches and aviation goggles pilot metal walkers equipped with heavy weaponry, in the name of environmental consciousness. Max Bawley is one such man. Having left behind...

Gatling Gears is a fun shooter that reminds you how much of a blast destruction can be.

Easy-to-learn controls ; Satisfying destruction ; Cleverly designed boss encounters

Too much happening onscreen sometimes leads to cheap hits ; Stages lack variety

Gatling guns have been cool ever since Jesse "The Body" Ventura carried one around the jungle in Predator. Give a Gatling gun legs, and it's on.

Gatling Gears Review

Gatling Gears brings us back to the days of the arcade shooter.

But why complain about little things? Put simply, Gatling Gears is fun. It's the kind of game that will practically force you to play it for longer than you planned. It looks great, it fits in to a long history of addictive games, and at five hours, it...

Despite lacking some gameplay depth of its predecessor, Gatling Gears dishes out the kind of frenetic action any good dual-stick shooter should, and it does so with great flair.

Co-op junkies with plenty of gamer friends will get a lot for their money, but solo shooter fans might want to wait cynically for a price drop before giving it a go. Either way, it's a tasty morsel of action that deserves your attention - whatever the...

I had a lot of fun with the first 75 percent of the game and the last bit is only a dip in enjoyment rather than a complete drop off. I'm looking forward to seeing what Vanguard comes up with next, within or outside of the Mistbound world.
