Halo 3: ODST

The war rages on. In the 26th century, the alien alliance known as The Covenant has humanity on the ropes and is prepared to wipe them out for good. In Halo 3: ODST, gamers will face The Covenant as an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper (ODST), a highly...

Halo 3: ODST brings enough to the table to make it easy to recommend to anyone, including people who have purchased Halo 3. Oh, and the inclusion of a Halo: Reach beta code is pretty sweet too.

Halo 3: ODST (Xbox 360) Review

Bungie returns with another Halo shooter. Halo 3: ODST steps away from familiarity, taking players out of Master Chief's shoes. What we end up with is a beautiful new take on a franchise we all know.

What's surprising is that the audio files (optional) tell a very compelling story on their own in picture book format. With the squad, you'll be too busy running and gunning to form any attachment to the characters on a deeper level; every member fits...

Halo 3 ODST

There is also a decent amount of variety in the progression of the game, although you start to see a pattern here or there. As the Rookie the majority of the game you look for your squad, but you also find audiologs telling a completely different story...

Overall, Halo 3 ODST has a great campaign experience, although short with some interesting new ideas introduced to the universe of Halo, extenuated by solid visuals and a incredible soundtrack. The Firefight mode is a welcomed addition, if not a bit of...

Halo 3: ODST Review [X360]

2007's completion of the main Halo trilogy was a great game and provided a great conclusion to the adventures of Master Chief. Fast forward two years and series creators Bungie have returned with a new spin off game, and what a game it is.

Fantastic Campaign ; Great voice acting ; Great Music ; Firefight Mode

Some jerky animation ; Firefight mode can only be played with friends ; Co-op campaign can only be played with friends

A fantastic addition to a brilliant franchise, let down by an a focus on playing with friends only. The campaign is fantastic and puts a new spin on classic Halo storyline.

Halo 3: ODST

Microsoft's flagship franchise, Halo, is a franchise that really needs no introduction... usually. This isn't your traditional Halo title though and the naysayers that claimed Bungie couldn't pull off a Halo title without the super soldier Master Chief...

Bungie’s latest storytelling method in ODST is certainly unique and captivates the imagination from beginning to end, but the problem is, just when you really start to get going, the experience ends. The single player campaign is far too short and can...

Review: Halo 3: ODST

Halo 3: ODST has been through one hell of a strange trip in development. What was once planned as a disc-based expansion for Halo 3, to hold the fanboys over until Halo: Reach, is now a full-fledged piece of canon in the battle against the Covenant. If...

Halo 3: ODST

In my experience with the Halo franchise, I?ve never found myself particularly engrossed by the campaign modes. That isn?t to say the story wasn?t worth telling, but simply, the previous titles were plagued with issues that made the campaign very...

ODST is an excellent in everything that it does; it just doesn't do enough. It feels more like an expansion than a full title.

Halo 3: ODST - Xbox 360 review at Thunderbolt Games

The mammoth release of Halo 3 in Autumn 2007 once again saw Bungie send shockwaves through not just gaming, but virtual entertainment itself. Nintendo may be leading the way in terms of sales, yet Microsoft maintain the pioneers of forcing their latest...

Halo 3: ODST

A great side story for the Halo universe, with an eerie atmosphere that's more exciting than the majority of the Halo 3 campaign.

Along with ODST's single player campaign (which can also be played cooperatively), there's the inclusion of a new online mode called Firefight. Fans of the Horde mode in Gears 2 will find Firefight a little familiar, with the similar concept of working...

Review: Halo 3: ODST (Microsoft Xbox 360)

Halo 3: ODST started life as an expansion pack and blew up to full game pricing. In doing so, it will likely go down as another footnote in the ongoing debate of how much is content worth? The single player campaign is just what you would want from an...
