Halo 4 (Xbox 360)

It's four years after the Halo event, and everyone's a Master Chief.

Beautiful graphics. Rich, textural scenery. Great music. Engrossing gameplay. Non-stop action. Matured dialogue and interesting storyline

Not much innovation

Some may dismiss Halo 4 as the same old same old in the Halo franchise but the level of detail in the game, plus a more mature and thoughtful storyline and dialogue, makes Halo 4 the most adult Halo entry in the series.

Halo 4: Crimson Map Pack

Do you want to know the problem with a good multiplayer first-person shooter game? You can never have enough maps! It doesn't matter how many maps are included in the release of a game, players are always going to want more. Thankfully, with today's...

The Crimson Map Pack is a solid addition to Halo 4's multiplayer map lineup. The three maps included provide a nice variation in style and size as well as preferred game types for each. Although they are quality additions, none of them pack that...

Halo 4: 343′s low-risk approach reaps many rewards

Halo 4 is 343 Industries' first chance to make their mark on the Halo franchise with a new entry in the series. The team did a pretty good job updating Combat Evolved, so expectations were high going in. Surprisingly, Halo 4 manages to surpass, and...

Halo 4

It has been over a decade since the Halo: Combat Evolved game graced the original Xbox platform and revolutionised console first person shooters

It is hard not to be impressed by 343 Industries. This is their first full game, for a series as popular and well thought of as Halo and to improve upon Bungies’ games in almost every way is nothing short of astounding. Let it be said, Halo 4 is...

Halo 4 has some big shoes to fill. Not only is it the first numbered iteration in some time, but it's also 343 Industries' first fully fledged title after Bungie left Microsoft

Halo 4 Review

When Bungie won their freedom from Microsoft and said they were done with Halo, that generally made people think that even if MS wanted to keep the franchise going, it'd never be the same and couldn't possibly be as good as Bungie's original five...

Considering that many people wrote off the Halo series as a dead or dying property once Bungie jumped ship, the fact that 343 came out swinging and delivered something that wasn't an overall disappointment - I know, I'm not really setting the bar very...

Halo 4

You've only got to look at the sales numbers for the Halo franchise to know one thing: Halo fans love Master Chief. Halo 1, 2 and 3 sold 6, 8 and 10 million units respectively, while out of the four games since, only one could reach those dizzy...

With big shoes to fill and an enormous amount of pressure on them from fans to deliver, 343 Industries has struck a home run on pretty much their first time of asking. Halo 4 represents a bold step forward for the franchise that feels both fresh and...

Halo 4 Review

Who could forget the first time they played Halo: Combat Evolved? It was a revolutionary first-person shooter that brought cooperative gaming to a new level. Halo was compelling with a very intriguing and original campaign that I know I've replayed at...

The good news is that Halo 4 feels and plays like any other Halo game. The bad news is that Halo 4 is just another Halo game. There isn't anything innovative that sets it apart and it made me feel as though 343 was just trying to take a safe route...
