LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes

I can safely say that Lego Batman is by far the best Superman game that there is. Now that I got that out of the way we can talk about how it is as

Lego Batman was a pretty great game and Lego Batman 2 really steps it up a notch. When each one of these games comes out I feel like they are always stepping with their best foot forward. While the levels can get repetitive and boring you can still...

Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes

I've been playing LEGO videogames for seven years now (not constantly, you understand, just whenever a new one gets released). They have become a familiar kind of fun. All of them follow a similar pattern: play through the levels, then play through the...

Great voice cast ; Wide-open Gotham City to explore ; Lots of fun

It won't change your mind on Lego games ; The flying character controls can be frustrating ; Might be a bit too easy

One of my favorite gags in the whole game was a takedown of the Batman Arkham City game, and it wouldn't have been possible if they hadn't included speech in this game. That might seem like a silly reason to champion the game, but it was an indication...

Lego Batman 2: DC Superheroes

The greatest heroes and villains conglomerate on the world of building bricks in Lego Batman 2. Since hitting (in my opinion) a series low in Lego Star Wars III, Traveler's Tales has been slowly digging themselves out of the same old mould, and...

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes

I'm starting to think that 2012 might be the year I overdose on super heroes. At the theater it's nothing but comic book adaptations, including The Avengers, The Amazing Spider-man, The Dark Knight, Judge Dredd, Ghost Rider and Men in Black 3. And it's...

It's not a very deep game, but LEGO Batman 2 manages to charm with its open world and large roster. Fans of DC will love how many characters show up, while everybody else will have a good time taking down the Joker once again. Best of all, this game...

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes Review

If Batman: Arkham City is Christian Bale then Lego Batman 2 is Adam West. Both perform their roles as Batman well, entertaining audiences in entirely different ways. Sure, we might want the brooding tortured soul of Batman at times, but another time we...

Driving through Gotham City in the Batmobile for the first time. Sure, it's Lego based but it's still the stuff that dreams are made of.

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes Review

Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes transports the series' problems to an open world, but winning humor shines through the clouds.

Funny cutscenes ; Snazzy visual design ; Open world offers more flexibility in your collecting

Terrible artificial intelligence ; Wonky vehicle controls and no minimap make open-world exploration problematic ; Tedious combat

Lego Batman 2 contains the same strengths and weaknesses as the many games that came before it. Worthwhile additions such as the open world show the potential for where this series could go, but the core mechanics suffer from the same problems in every...

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes

It looks just like the future should.

Great, self referential humour and an entertaining story. Gotham City is very well realised

No challenge in the combat. Poor camera. Puzzle solutions can sometimes be confusing

Another solid effort.
