Lips: I Love The 80's

Hot on the heels of the Party Classics disc last month, here we have yet another add-on compilation for the original Lips game. Just like with buses, you wait ages for one to come along and then two turn up at once. This time around the focus is very...

Another fairly good add-on pack with a good song selection, although there are no other new features to speak of. This is a bargain in terms of DLC for those people desperate for some new material, but adds nothing new in terms of gameplay.

Microsoft's karaoke series continues with 40 more songs designed to accentuate to eccentricities of music during the 1980s in Lips: I Love the 80s. Gamers can croon along to tracks that span multiple genres, including

With such a plethora of music rhythm games, especially with the more recent versions including a vocalist position, for the Xbox 360 it is easy to forget that there is a pretty decent karaoke game available in the form of Lips. Lips: I Love The 80's...

Ahh, the 80's. A decade where yuppies bought Filofaxes, clothes went neon, hair got huge and Mrs Thatcher did her best to ruin the country. Although we've spent the best part of the intervening twenty years sniggering at its fashions and grimacing in...

It's a distinctly pop focused selection however, no real nods to the rockier end of the musical spectrum meaning groups like U2, Bon Jovi and Queen miss out along with more indie bands like The Smiths (although you'll find The Cure's Boy's Don't Cry if...

D+PAD Magazine last reviewed a Lips game, Number One Hits, back in November 2009. It'll be of little surprise that our comments at the time, those both positive (the slick interface, the useful visual feedback) and negative (the necessity of...

For its ace tracklisting and its winning, albeit unchanged, gameplay Lips: I Love The 80s is the best game yet in this series. While it would be nice to have received shoulder pads and leg warmers as Avatar Awards instead of the usual gold cups, these...

Lips: I Love The 80s

No you're not mistaken, it has only been a couple of weeks since the last Lips disc, Party Classics, hit store shelves and yet here we are with another disc celebrating the "era that style forgot". Lips: I Love The 80s (the accompanied press release...

Another 40 fun tracks to warble to ; Easy to pick up and play ; Motion controlled mics add an extra dimension of fun ; Additional achievements ; Full access to store and already downloaded tracks

I can't remember the verses ; Mic syncing can be a pain ; Lacks a team-based competitive mode ; Takes an age to load up the avatars

Don't get much song for your money

Like most games of this sort you only get so many songs to get you started and you buy any others you want at 160 Xbox credits each. Its a great party game with many songs that both young and older will recognise, although there are songs you would...

I love all the Lips game. I recently bought this and haven't stopped playing - its so much fun! even better when you are singing with others. Did a duet with my friends and he loved him! so it isn't just for girls! Overall, good family fun game or the...
