Mercenaries 2 Reviewed

"Mercenaries 2: World in Flames™" is an explosive open-world action game set in a massive, highly reactive, war-torn world. A power-hungry tyrant messes with Venezuela's oil supply, sparking an invasion that turns the country into a war zone.

If you ever played the original Mercenaries rather you liked it or not i think you should give this sequel a try as it is a vast improvement over the original and a good stand alone game if you have not played the first one.

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames makes a really good impression. If this review was based on just the first hour of gameplay then I would be sitting here wholeheartedly recommending Pandemic's long-awaited sequel to one of the best games on the original...

What has Pandemic done to Mercenaries 2? When it was first announced it looked like the next-gen game to beat. However what we have here is one ugly game with more than its fair share of flaws. Worse yet, it's almost impossible to play with all of the...

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames- ps2

Unless you're a diehard fan of Mercenaries or the open ended gameplay style you should really stay away from Mercenaries 2: World in Flames. This is definitely a game that you should rent and not buy, as I really cannot see playing this through more...

Mercenaries 2 - Rapid Fire Review

Open-ended worlds aren't anything new to today's video game landscape. Grand Theft Auto and Crackdown have both showed how great this genre of action games can be, so it's disappointing to see Mercenaries 2: World in Flames fail to reach the high...

Even the graphics portion, which does have a few decent highlights, isn’t up to par. At first, you may find yourself drawn into the Venezuelan world that Mercenaries 2 recreates, but after an hour or so, you'll realize how dissatisfying it is. The...

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames

It was Edwin Starr way back in 1970 in his timely classic that asked the age old question, “War, what is it good for?” Fortunately for us, he actually answered it as well, but we suspect that when he gave his classic, “Absolutely nothing” line, he had...

If I had to sum Mercenaries up in one word, I would say “fun.” If I had to sum it up in five, I would say “fun but glitchy as hell!” On the face of it, it’s Mercenaries as we know and love it; plenty of big explosions, outrageous stunts and elaborate...

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames Rev..

Mercenaries 2 comes close to delivering what a sequel to a great game should be.

Coop play, phenomenal explosions, loads of vehicles

Frustrating bugs, coop saves, repetitive missions

Mercenaries 2 takes the huge open world and the destruction of the original game and cranks it up more than a few notches. Everything is bigger, better and louder and although it can get repetitive very early on, once the second half of the game is...

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames

Pandemic Studios is best known for games like Full Spectrum Warrior and Star Wars: Battlefront I and II. Mind you, about two years ago the developer had another successful release - Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction (Xbox/PS2), which got a...

Online co-op, impressive-looking explosions, vehicles and weapons are enjoyable as is blowing stuff up

Generally uninteresting gameplay, feeble story, dumb AI, technically flawed, mediocre in every conceivable way

Mercenaries 2 Review

There's trouble in Venezuela. It seems a brutal dictator has shot a Merc in the arse and they're not too happy about it...

Mercs 2 is nothing short of a monumental disappointment. We thought it could be the best of the rest as far as open world gaming is concerned, but it's turned out to be little more than its last gen predecessor. Even the graphics aren't much improved.

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames

The holiday rush for video games has not begun yet, but its growing closer and closer. It is at the end of summer and the beginning of fall when

I would have loved to have given Mercenaries 2 a top tier overall score but there are just a few too many unpolished areas that unfortunately hold it back from that highest of levels. The game in general though is just a whole lot of fun. And if you...
