nail'd (Xbox 360)

Nail'd is, in a word, extreme. In this off-road racing game, you share the sky with jumbo jets, leap over speeding trains, and ride along platforms suspended in the air by helicopters. These experiences do provide some adrenaline-drenched excitement,...

As an off-road x-treme racing game featuring quads and motorbikes, you know from the start that Nail'd isn't going to be a racing game which had realism high up its list of design priorities. Skidding round muddy tracks, barging other racers off the...

Grab your white knuckle cream, it's gonna be a bumpy ride. When I was asked to review Nail'd, I was a little hesitant as I am not the biggest racing...

Insanely fast ; Tight controls ; Good for all types of race fans

Limited game modes ; Glitchy at times

With all the adrenaline filled dirty racers centered around ATV's or otherwise such as PURE, Motorstorm and FUEL, it begs the question what exactly Nail'd fetches to the table to make it worthwhile. All the expected features are here in the form of a...

Southpeak Games' new off road racer Nail'd is a definite product of the times. Take one part ATV vs MX, add in a heaping helping of tongue-in-cheek humor and a ton of Red Bull for good measure. Recreating an incredible sense of speed superbly, Nail'd...

I've always been of the mindset that arcade style games should be loaded with cheats, and Nail'd is no different thanks to the trainer from Cheathappens.com. Seriously, what more could you ask for in a racing game than the ability to slow down your...

I'm not normally the type of gamer who would be interested in an ATV racing game. In fact, when MX vs. ATV Reflex came out, I was offered a free copy from a sponsor on a sports site and I sold it, site unseen to a friend. But after hearing the positive...

Over-the-top fun off road racer. Even with crazy courses and obstacles, still could use some spicing up. A lot of fun for a short time, and with some enhancements to multi-player could have a decent shelf life. Recommended if you liked Excite Truck.

Nail'd (PS3) Review

A little known developer is jumping into the arcade racing market with a game that challenges physics and the laws of gravity. However with speed as your ally, it's only a matter of time before an inanimate object becomes your worst nightmare.

Most people aren't overly familiar with the developer Techland. In fact most would be shocked to learn that Techland actually developed the Call of Juarez series. In the latest outing for the Polish developer, players will saddle up quads and...

There are a few cheap thrills to be had in this off-road racer, but loose physics make its excitement a lot less extreme.

Catching big air can be thrilling ; Attractive environments

Strangely artificial sense of speed ; Loose physics make racing less exciting ; Uninvolving boost system ; Inconsistent crash behavior ; Uninformative upgrade system

REVIEW: Nearly nails the landing

Insane track designs deliver incredible moments.; Fantastic sense of speed with plenty to play (and free DLC)

Inconsistent physics and reactions trample on the fun

Do real off-road racers spend much time in airplane graveyards?

Nail'd Review

Arcades are dead, consoles are king, depth is expected, and Nail'd just can't keep up with the pack.

You can see some fun poking out here and there in Nail’d. The in-air physics work largely as advertised and add some excitement, but the game still feels surprisingly boring most of the time. Without the benefit of exploration for new routes or any...
