NASCAR 2011: The Game (Xbox 360)

Naysayers dismiss driving in a NASCAR game as simply "turning left," but series enthusiasts know that there's more to it than that. Driving with 42 others in a NASCAR race demands focus and precision, and when it's running on all cylinders, NASCAR...

NASCAR 2011: The Game

I have to admit, right out of the gate, that I am not adie-hard NASCAR fan. I enjoy watching the big races, and follow the points standings when I'm surfing ESPN.com. I think it's a great sport, and obviously it has massive appeal to the American...

NASCAR 2011: The Game lays an excellent foundation for future iterations in the series. The arcade-style racing is engaging and the sense of speed is executed beautifully. However, the all-too-simple Career mode and somewhat broken online play hold the...

NASCAR 2011: The Game Review

Surprisingly engaging, but far too easily spun-out.

The race physics feel right, toggle-able assists help novice racers

AI is universally shoddy, uneven difficulty

The racing gameplay at its core is fantastic and entertaining. People unfamiliar with NASCAR will find that the assists let them get behind the wheel easily, but both novices and veterans alike will find a lot of fault with just how uneven and broken...

NASCAR 2011: The Game Review

If you watch a NASCAR race, there's always that one car. It's the car that seems to putter around the track in 25th place all day long, running just well enough to not drop back to last or get lapped...

Good graphics ; Deep tuning ability ; Solid control ; Races are fun once you get the difficulty down

Technical issues ; Uneven AI/Difficulty ; Mediocre Paint Scheme creator ; General lack of polish

If you watch a NASCAR race, there’s always that one car. It’s the car that seems to putter around the track in 25th place all day long, running just well enough to not drop back to last or get lapped, but not well enough to really run with the big...

NASCAR 2011: The Game review

It has been since 2009 that a NASCAR game sped its way onto home consoles. Electronic Arts, as it has done with college football and the NFL, signed an exclusive agreement with NASCAR in 2003. Due to poor sales, the company decided not to renew the...

If turning left is your idea of fun, NASCAR 2011: The Game should be on your wish list. Gearheads will enjoy the fact that you can tweak the tuning options. Normal gamers could probably care less, which is why it is a good thing that the game...

Realism it is not

Over all I cannot see any feature that I would recommend this game for. We have Nascar 2009 for PS2 and this is pretty good, a lot more realistic than Nascar 2011. The programmers, producers and publishers should be ashamed! Updated on Jun 11, 2011

Good graphics

Good graphics but not great ; Damage that is suppose to be real is just ridiculous. When hitting a wall at a 45 degree angle you know the car should have crumpled the front side and continue through momentum. There is no damage at all and the car come's

People unfamiliar with NASCAR will find that the assists let them get behind the wheel easily, but both novices and veterans alike will find a lot of fault with just how uneven and broken the bugs can make the proceedings.

Many will leave disappointed, yet the more reasonable should still welcome this faithful yet flawed interpretation of their sport. Come the inevitable sequel, though, the developer will need to really turn the corner.

NASCAR 2011: The Game- Xbox 360

I'm hoping the title improves in the next lap by adding some real punch to the experience. Arcade additions would also be welcome, and the proximity radar and the visual drafting are a nice step in that direction. Casual racers will probably enjoy...
