The on-field action is as exciting as ever, but off-the-field problems drag NCAA Football 12 down to the turf.

It's hard to say nowadays what truly kicks off EA Sports' official season. Is Tiger Woods the kickoff, or is NCAA? Both usually come out at the same time, but given that NCAA's more a celebration of amateur sport, perhaps Tiger? It was pretty...

NCAA Football 12

There comes a time where developers have to realize that a recurring game such as a football title must go through a change, or else their fans will eventually stop buying the game. EA Sports came to this realization last year by promising that the...

There are still a couple of features that need to be tweaked, such as recruiting, but with the addition of custom playbooks, the coaching carousel, conference realignments, and a fully revamped Road to Glory mode, NCAA Football has shown great strides...

Tackling and running much tighter.; Slick upgrades to Dynasty and Road to Glory modes

No standout new features that make you glad you spent $60 to upgrade from NCAA 11

Are the weird cement-block menus an homage to Riddick's then-awesome game-menu design?

The on-field action is as exciting as ever, but off-the-field problems drag NCAA Football 12 down to the turf.

Improved AI, especially in regard to block and pass defense ; On-field action is fast and exciting ; Competing against friends is loads of fun

Dated visuals ; Recruiting is bogged down by logical inconsistencies and a preponderance of menus ; Certain aspects clash wildly with reality

Dynasty mode returns as the chance to turn a woebegone school into a national power or take the reins of a BCS big boy, and see how you hold up when the pressure is weighing you down. A coaching carousel is the biggest addition from last year's game,...

The NCAA Football franchise has come a long way over the past couple of years. Year in and year out it makes great strides towards becoming the best football sim game around. Last year was easily the most contested year as more hardcore football gamers...

Does EA capitalize on last season's success or fail to deliver on the field?

Had better fun playing NFL Blitz

Will never recommend this game. Complete trash! EA Sports.....do you test your games before production?! Obviously not! I had better fun playing NFL Blitz than this crap. This game is full of glitches, freezes my Xbox, and me and numerous others think...

Ok graphics, realistic weather scenes

To many glitches, to many replays, repetitive commentary, limited menus and play options. Cant stand the different option play menu etc etc etc

It was was broke, so they fixed it!!

Overall, NCAA 12 is a major improvement over last year's. Fans and even football purists will appreciate the attention to detail of the actual gameplay and even the audio of the staduim environment. The dev team seemed to actually listens to the fans...

The animations and A.I. are a helluva a lot smoother than last year's venture. No more suction or warp tackles ; Intelligent blokcing A.I., and a brand new Zone defense A.I. that is realistic and for once effective ; Improved features across all mod

No new gameplay modes ; Commentary has no color, gets old quick ; Noticeably slow loading times even after installing the game to the hard drive

You do realize that "bug" that turns the receiver routes into squiggly lines are that way purposely? It happens when the crowd gets loud at CPU home games. Making it harder for the user to know which route is being ran.
