NiGHTS into Dreams... Review

Nights Into Dreams is short and sometimes frustrating, but that doesn't prevent it from being magical.

Dreamy courses ; Creative flight-based gameplay ; Nice extras

Cheap boss encounters

At a glance, Nights Into Dreams is a platformer wherein you happen to fly a lot, but it feels more like a racing game when you're playing it properly. Speed runs are your goal, and your most capable enemy is the timer. You want to obtain 20 blue orbs...

Nights Into Dreams Review: The Real Inception

A Sega Saturn classic (rather, its last-gen port) returns to the modern world, as dreamy as ever... mostly.

NiGHTS into Dreams… Review

Sega continues their trend of HD remakes. The question is how does their famous jester hold up?

Beautiful dreamlike levels ; Enticing mix of speed/precision needed ; HD remaster looks fantastic

Confusing objectives ; Somewhat jerky controls ; Not very many levels

Nights into Dreams...

We are off into our dreams to set some Ideyas free in this HD version of a Dreamcast classic

It's confusing, frustrating, peppered with moments where you can say "Yes! Did it!" but these seem to far and few between.

There's just nothing else quite like NiGHTS.

Great soundtrack ; A cult classic

Shows its age in places ; Difficult to get into

NiGHTS Into Dreams Review

I managed to miss NiGHTS when it was released in its earlier incarnations, whether it was the Saturn, Gamecube or PS2 versions, and I must say it's bloody great, it's a score attack game, a racing game, maybe even a little bit of a platforming game....
