Ninja Gaiden II

There will be blood…lots and lots of blood. There are action games, and then there is Ninja Gaiden. Fans of Itagaki's revered franchise already know what to expect when they...

Incredibly fluid and rewarding combat ; Slick visual style ; Nice selection of weapons ; Superb level design

Goofy story ; Frame rate issues ; Doesn't do much to advance the genre

Ninja Gaiden II

Ninja Gaiden II released with quite a bit of fanfare. Free video downloads on the Xbox Live Marketplace promoting the game as well as gameplay videos and screens prompted me to reconsider my initial decision to eschew Tomonobu Itagaki's Tecmo swan...

Ninja Gaiden II Review [X360]

Video games are now held to new standards as of late due to the recent releases of the new consoles, which makes it even harder for sequels to crowned as a premium title. This would be the case for the newly released Ninja Gaiden II for the X-Box 360!...

Meets all the requirements to be as good as its predecessor ; Original and creative ways to fight an enemy ; Theatrical Obliteration system lets you kill baddies with style

No game changing differences from the last game ; Lackluster story ; Slow music for such a fast paced game

Can you handle the heat?

Genuinely challenging game; Fantastic action; Excellent visuals; Slick animations; Makes you man up and eat that hot pepper

though it may cause you to break controllers; Cannot hear voice acting in some cutscenes; Incoherent story; Re-fighting bosses

Ninja Gaiden 2 Game Review - Xbox 360

Ninjas were often regarded as masters of espionage, assassinations, and martial arts. Although ninjas' origins are not known, some scholars have them dating back to the 15th Century in stories that detail cloaked warriors

Nonstop, intense, brutal action; The boss battles are gigantic fun; recording portions of your game to share is always enjoyable

Story is shallow; framerate drops on harder difficulties; some enemies and locations too generic and bland

Ninja Gaiden II

I'm sure I can make it through the harder Path of the Warrior difficulty level in no time,” I thought to myself as I first booted up the latest in Team Ninja's Ninja Gaiden series. I was confident because, while I skipped out on both Ninja Gaiden and...

Ninja Gaiden II is a brilliant and bloody masterpiece, perhaps even the best pure action title on the market today, but it’s hurt considerably by frustrating camera angles and awkward design decisions. Regardless, if this is truly Itagaki’s final Ninja...

Ninja Gaiden 2

Following the resignation of Tomunobu Itagaki recently, Ninja Gaiden 2 is sure to be the last project that the prodigal son and Team Ninja will ever create together. The sequel to the hugely successful original, released in 2004, is built from the...

Don't get me wrong, Ninja Gaiden 2 is a title that I truly enjoyed playing. However, it was a frustrating ride with difficulty levels, luck and that damned camera not helping matters, but I would encourage everyone to experience the game, if only for a...
