Ninja Gaiden II Review

The sequel to the best action game ever arrives and promises lots of gameplay changes. We'll see.

Replay value is a total 180 from Ninja Gaiden. Once you complete a set difficulty, you can start over with increased life and all your weapons. Being able to play the early stages and killing the first boss in two hits is a truly awesome experience....

Ninja Gaiden II review for the XBOX360

Can you handle the heat?

Genuinely challenging game; Fantastic action; Excellent visuals; Slick animations; Makes you man up and eat that hot pepper

though it may cause you to break controllers; Cannot hear voice acting in some cutscenes; Incoherent story; Re-fighting bosses

With so many elements pushing you to switch down to the lower difficulty, it's hard not taking the easier course. No bones about it, this game is incredibly hard, and it will frustrate you to no end. The thing is, the game's at its best when it's...

Ninja Gaiden II - Xbox 360 review at Thunderbolt Games

Ninja Gaiden II has become a significant title over the past few weeks. If you've been following the gaming news you would have heard of Tomonobu Itagaki's departure from Tecmo as a result of some alleged incidents within the company. So, in a way,...

Ninja Gaiden II

If you like your decapitations with a fountainous blood-spurt chaser, your severed limbs to do a little death-throe wiggle, your dismembered torsos to work as projectiles in a pinch, then oh boy, is Ninja Gaiden II for you.

When Ninja Gaiden came out of Xbox back in '04, it was both lauded as the best ninja game ever made and decried by all but the ardent as exceedingly difficult, frustratingly so. Ninja Gaiden II for Xbox 360 is more forgiving -- still tough as nails,...

Ninja Gaiden II Review

Ninja Gaiden was an astounding entry on Microsoft's original big, black box; it redefined the action genre with bar-raising visuals and amazing gameplay. Years later, it's still considered one of the console's crowning achievements and one of the best...

Whether you’ve been slaying fiends for years or are just learning the power of Ninpo, it doesn’t matter; Ninja Gaiden 2 is a game all action fans should spin in their 360s. Be prepared for gore like you’ve never seen; blood flows like an over-active...

Review: Ninja Gaiden II

When Tomonobu Itagaki and Team Ninja brought Ninja Gaiden to the Xbox in 2004, they did so in an excellent manner. Ninja Gaiden was a fine game that married a slick, fluid combat system with sharp graphics and helpings of gory decapitations. The high...

Ninja Gaiden II

I really like and enjoy how some of these latest reviews have been. Post a Comment

Faults aside, Ninja Gaiden II is an excellent game and is among the best I've played this year. It provides a highly enjoyable single-player campaign, and improves upon a standard set by the first 3D Ninja Gaiden game four years ago.

Ninja Gaiden II

'Visceral action game' are the words slathered all over the press material for NGII. Even after the briefest play, it is clear that visceral action is everywhere in this game. Hoards of minions attack brandishing shiny pointy deadly things - only to...

REVIEW: Second verse, bloodier than the first

Action so beautiful it's poetic.; Your success is incredibly gratifying

Occasional technical issues (camera, slowdown) hamper the fun

Where's Alma?...Just kidding! She can stay dead!

Ninja Gaiden II

This incredibly intense action game will leave you feeling very satisfied.

Unrivalled action gameplay; exciting new weapons; online leaderboards; gorgeous backdrops, slick animation; impressively intelligent enemy AI

Unforgiving difficulty for novice players; occasional frame-rate dips; infrequent mid-combat loading; troublesome camera at times
