Project Sylpheed (Xbox 360)

Project Sylpheed is a short and needlessly complicated space shooter that gets by on its cutscenes more than its gameplay.

You could almost call it Wing Commander Lite.

Crowded outer space battles that can get harried and intense; outstanding graphics that feature tons of detail and colour; music fits the mood well; developing new weapons and upgrading your ship can be a fun diversion.

Not a ton of variety; controls are needlessly complicated; voice acting is brutal and the characters never shut up; arbitrary and invisible time limits to missions are frustrating; the game is really short with a steep learning curve; no multiplayer.
