Star Trek: Legacy

Star Trek: Legacy is a great game for fans of the tactical aspects of the universe. Those looking for a more action oriented game should look elsewhere. Instead of a traditional space combat title Star Trek Legacy goes for a more strategic approach...

All 5 captains ; Decent plot ; Nice tactical implimentation

Lack of enemy variety ; Multiplayer is rather thin ; Mission difficulty pretty high ; No in-mission saves ; Not a lot of enemy races show up

You don't have to have watched every episode of each series in order to get enjoyment out of Star Trek: Legacy. If you're looking for a more action oriented game, this isn't it.

Star Trek: Legacy

Less power to the phasers!

Commanding dozens of ships ; All five captains lending voices ; Fast and frenetic action

All action, no diplomacy ; Horrible fleet controls ; Extreme difficulty

The game is rescued, somewhat, by its multiplayer modes, which enables two-to-four-player deathmatch and co-op "survival" versus endless enemies via the internet. The shoot-everything-that-moves philosophy works a lot better outside of the campaign,...

Star Trek: Legacy Review

Star Trek Legacy boldly goes nowhere fast.

The game starts on a good note, as players control a first-timer vessel and take on Romulans in an opening battle. Over the course of the game, new ships, power-ups, and even a few familiar faces from the Star Trek lexicon come into play -- including...

Star Trek: Legacy review for the XBOX360

An indirect hit.

Ties together many eras of Trek; The (voiceover) gang's all here; Mostly beautiful visuals

Not very tactical; Brutal save scheme; Lean multiplayer

More replay value can be found in all the challenging Xbox Live achievements, like trying to not lose a single vessel in any given "age" of Trek-coincidentally or otherwise, it encourages players to be a lot more "Federation" in their tactics than...

Star Trek: Legacy Review (Xbox 360)

is a Skirmish area which is basically an action-only single player affair. The good thing about Skirmish is that you’re not stuck commanding the Federation ships that are sometimes outmatched. Klingon, Borg, and Romulan ships from every era are...

Xbox 360 - Star Trek: Legacy Impressions

Each fleet consists of four ships, each consisting of their own strengths and weaknesses. Battleships pack heavy fire power and maneuver in the vein of large naval ships with heavy photon and laser shots. Cruisers are balanced support crafts, providing...

Halfway during the interstellar battle, the party was broken up by the fearful Borgs. The two waring factions ended their conflict to team up against the imposing force. Once the Borg ship was destroyed, the two sides split up and went on their way, at...

Star Trek: Legacy

Spanning the entire Star Trek Universe, featuring the voices of all five Captains, developed by Mad Doc, the developers of Star Trek Armada, and with a story by D.C. Fontana, it sounds like Star Trek Legacy has all the ingredients of a great game....

Star Trek Legacy is definitely an interesting experience for Trekkies. However, the flaws might be just enough to keep it from appealing to the casual gamer. If you love Star Trek, I suggest you give this game a try.
