Not so bad if you can't wait for GT5

Some unusual tracks ; The handling is tight ; Graphics are crisp

Unbalanced field of cars ; Poor Career mode ; No proper damage model

So… Superstars V8 Racing: Next Challenge isn’t so much cheap and nasty; more a pared-back racer that could provide some inoffensive racing on some unusual circuits. If the original game is anything to go by, it’ll cost less than a tenner in a few...

Down on horsepower

Half-decent handling ; Fancy visuals ; Varied selection of tracks

Dull career mode ; Budget effort at non-budget price ; No real soul

Superstars V8 Racing certainly isn’t a technically offensive driving game. It simply has no real ‘oomph’, no real soul. The best racing games are created by obsessive petrolheads for petrolheads. This feels more like the devs found an old BMW model...

Two wheels bad, four wheels good...

There's nothing wrong with the racing here it's just not as good as the best 360 titles and the options and tracks are too few and shallow to compete so as a package it feels a bit light.
