Back in 1993, Peter Molyneux (ofFable fame) produced a game with Bullfrog Productions called Syndicate. The idea was simple: in the not-too-distant-future you control a squad of four super-soldiers called "agents" whose goal was to sabotage rival...

Unfortunately, I can't comment too much on the co-op, although it's billed as a big part of the experience. I played a couple of the levels with a buddy. They are separate from the campaign but follow many of the same locales. The idea here is that you...

In 1993, an isometric strategy game titled Syndicate tasked gamers with managing the operation of a corporation and its agents in a dark and corrupted cyberpunk world. After an expansion pack and sequel, there were no more titles in the series from the...

The developers at Starbreeze Studios have clearly put great effort into bringing Syndicate within the realm of modern gaming. It might not contain any of the past strategy elements, but the conversion to a first-person shooter has brought with a...

Though the game uses way too much in the way of blinding lights and blues, Syndicate performs remarkably well throughout the experience. The kill animations are cool, and the rest of the world acts realistic and impressively.

The rest of the trainer is your average shooter trainer stuff, instant upgrade points, no reload. It all works -- it's just all expected.

Syndicate reminds me a lot of 2010’s Singularity - both titles drew me into their fiction, only to fail to achieve the promise of it. They differ in why they both failed. Where Singularity’s plot was simply delivered to the player in uninspired ways,...

Syndicate showed a lot of promise, and you can see some of it when you play it. It has some of the best shooting mechanics of any FPS on the market and the online play is entertaining. That said, Starbreeze could have done a lot more to make the story...

I’ve never played the original Syndicate series back on the PC almost two decades ago, but I know some people were confused with the announcement of the new game, as it was originally an isometric view strategy game. It’s now been changed into a FPS...

Syndicate Review

For anyone that cares to remember, the name Syndicate has always been synonymous with top-down symmetrical strategy, but Starbreeze's take on it is as far from Bullfrog's classic and much loved strategy game as you could imagine. It may have ruffled a...

Syndicate may not be a perfect game, and it may not be the game that fans of the original wanted, but what it delivers is pure twitch FPS fun. It’s weighted and punchy, and it delivers fast paced action in both single player and co-operative....

Syndicate Review

If you go into Electronic Arts' recent release of Syndicate expecting a game experience that resembles the 1993 origins, you might be in for mild disappointment. In an attempt to “get with the times”, the company has rerouted this series into a...

I really don't have fond memories of the very first Syndicate, or any memories at all, actually. I never even knew the game existed until this game was announced. Luckily, you don't need...

Good game play ; Amazing customization options ; Thought out and intelligent co-op ; Interesting world

The single player is somewhat short ; Overuse of light bloom ; Glitches in the co-op ; Tedious boss battles in single player

I really don’t have fond memories of the very first Syndicate, or any memories at all, actually. I never even knew the game existed until this game was announced. Luckily, you don’t need to know much (or anything) for that matter, about the first game...

Syndicate review: stop looking forward to the future on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC

EA Games and Starbreeze Studios remade strategy game Syndicate as an FPS with co-op multiplayer. Does it stand out against the competition?

Syndicate is a decidedly mixed bag, but it's more good than not, just don't let it trick you into thinking it's anything but a meat and potatoes shooter. The rudimentary single-player needed some serious propping up and got no help from the weak...

Review: Syndicate

In 1993 Bullfrog Productions released Syndicate. The original Syndicate was a top down action/strategy game in which the player controlled four agents. The setting was in the near future where corporations, or syndicates, were now essentially running...
