The Cave- Xbox 360

The Cave sees a return to Ron Gilbert's stable of adventure gaming after some sidestepping into the realm of the action-RPG genre with the great DeathSpank series. My initial reaction when I was asked to review The Cave was, how shall I say,...

The Cave is almost a metaphor for the mind of Ron Gilbert. At times pensive and funny, at other times sarcastic, the game’s nothing if not an entertaining and amusing companion. It’s a work of love, populated with chuckle-inducing gags and lovely...

Overall, The Cave is a great example of its genre and a good game in its own right. I highly recommend it for any fans of 2D games, puzzles games, or adventure games, or anyone simply looking to have another Double Fine laugh

The Cave Review

The Cave is a fun yet flawed adventure that challenges the mind, explores the human psyche, and raises a few laughs too.

Ably combines humor with dark storytelling ; Puzzles are fun and challenging ; Funny voice acting ; New puzzles and stories to discover with repeat play

Controlling three characters at once is frustrating ; Having to repeat puzzles in order to see the new ones

The Cave's puzzles are challenging, its story is well constructed and narrated, and its cartoon-like visuals and sprawling, morphing tunnels are pleasant to look at. Its mashup of elements from platformers and point-and-clicks fare less well, but if...
