The Outfit Game Review - Xbox 360

The Outfit is an over-the-top third-person shooter within which you play as one of three members of an elite military unit known simply as “The Outfit." Throughout the game's missions, you will run through each stage with the “Destruction-on-Demand”...

The Outfit is a change of pace that, while certainly not for everyone, has a place on the shelves of any WWII enthusiast

The Outfit is very mediocre in very interesting ways. It hints at future evolution in third-person shooters, but fails to achieve anything right now

Unfortunately, once Destruction-on-Demand loses its novelty, the bland and generic nature of the overall game is quickly unveiled. There isn't a whole lot to love about The Outfit in the long run. It is so plain that, beyond Destruction-on-Demand...

The Outfit

How the war was fun

Fun to build and defend a firebase ; Cool animations for close-up kills ; Molotov cocktail and tear gas attacks

Jeeps control like tanks and vice versa ; Underpowered, cumbersome weapons ; Single-player levels are super linear

And fun is what The Outfit is. Mixing third-person action with the ability to call in gun emplacements, reinforcements and vehicles like a real time strategy game, this isn't like other games you've played. It pleasantly reminds us a bit of Mercenaries...

The Outfit

In 1941 the United States joined World War Two, and since then countless amounts of video games have used this era as their backdrop, with only a handful of them actually amounting to anything worth playing. The Outfit has the standard WWII basics...

The Outfit on Xbox 360

Does This Outfit Look Bad?

Man, I must be burned out on World War II games. From Castle Wolfenstein to another Call of Duty game, it seems like there is a new WWII title every three or four minutes. On the surface, The Outfit is just another one of these games. Deep inside, it...

The Outfit

Attempting to offer up a more unique take on the World War II shooter genre, developer Relic has pulled inspiration from various past games and injected a level of originality into their first title on the Xbox 360, The Outfit. While the game does...

The Outfit

Developed by Canadian-based Relic, The Outfit is a strategic action title that offers an impressive multiplayer experience and twelve painfully linear, single player levels. The purpose of the game is structured around capturing checkpoints which act...

Conclusion:If it's not clear already, The Outfit's most impressive aspect is the addictive nature of the multiplayer portion. The single player campaign is an excellent effort at originality, but the execution leaves much to be desired. The lack of a...

The Outfit

If you've ever wondered what World War II would have been like if it were fought mainly by three guys with a Dirty Harry complex, I've got the perfect game for you.

Killing Nazis and blowing stuff up is always fun ; Air-dropped units are a nice change-of-pace

Killing Nazis and blowing stuff up is pretty much all you get ; Fairly short

Invite a friend over and rent it. You'll have fun for a while.

The Outfit

It really was only a matter of time before the WWII genre become so over-saturated that somebody would think about taking it to the next level. No, I don't mean improved realism, super-advanced squad tactics, or anything similarly substantive. I mean...

The Outfit - Xbox 360

The Outfit appears distinctly last-gen in the graphics department. Take a look at Ghost Recon Advanced Warfigher, then switch to The Outfit and you'll see the huge difference in graphics. The environments used throughout the game don't add anything to...
