The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct

At Gamescom last year a polite gentleman ushered myself, and a few others, into a room to talk about The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct. By that point the Telltale game had already been a rampant success so it was interesting to see what brave new...

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct is terrible. It’s a waste of a licence and should be the poster child for a rushed, shameless cash grab. That is all you need to know.

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct Review

The zombie apocalypse is upon us in The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct. Is it worth it?

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct fails on almost every front. Whether it be the dated graphics, lacking gameplay, or shoddy level design, this game does little (if anything) right. While super-fans of the TV series may be able to tolerate the...

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct Review

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct will bury itself dutifully to the bottom of bargain bins very shortly. Avoid even then.

The structure of moving between levels and choosing your route is interesting; When you do have ammo, it’s satisfying to explode heads

Characters are bland and have zero reactions to anything; Melee combat becomes a massive chore; Non-existent textures on most things, and when they do exist they’re awful; Level design feels like it was planned with cardboard boxes, and that’s it.;...

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct review – walk away

After the award-winning success of Telltale's adventure series Activision offer up a more action-orientated take on the Walking Dead TV show.

The branching map element could’ve been interesting under (very) different circumstances. The TV voice actors put in a decent effort

Everything about the game seems half broken or unfinished, and frequently both. The artificial intelligence and visuals are particularly poor though, and the environments very bland

A TV tie-in of such depressingly low quality you’d think it was the ‘90s once again, especially when you see the terrible graphics and artificial intelligence.
