Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD- X360

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD is a terrific idea that just doesn't pan out as well as it feels like it should. All the little tweaks and decisions, from level list to the soundtrack to the decisions about which moves to include or exclude eventually start...

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD- X360

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD looks good on the surface, but some particularly frustrating design and gameplay quirks can drastically cut down on the enjoyment.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD- X360

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD has improved graphics and new characters. It also has unreliable controls, surreal physics, and an inadequate online multiplayer mode, all of which serve to create a game that is less than the sum of its parts.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD- X360

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD recreates the gameplay that made the franchise famous, but to mixed results. It lands the trick, but doesn't do it cleanly.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD- X360

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD looks new but feels old, a game good in its own time but not in ours. It was brilliant in 1999, but then so was Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. Gamers wanted - begged - for a return to the classic era of Tony Hawk and the man...

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD- X360

It may sound odd, but we'd gladly trade HD's so-so graphics and unruly physics for straight ports of Tony's first two PS1 installments. But maybe it's like they say: you can never truly go back, even to the satisfying grinds and flip tricks of yesteryear.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD- X360

In a world where THPS 2X is still readily available for less than $10 on eBay, it's hard to give this HD downgrade any sort of recommendation. The original games earned our nostalgia, while this release abuses it. It's short on content, quality, and...

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD- X360

It's sad that this series couldn't find a way to stay relevant, but this game shows that there was never anything wrong with the core mechanics of the franchise. I'm happy to have a reason to get reacquainted with them.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD- X360

If you've even a shred of nostalgia for the era where extreme sports games exploded then this lesson in the wonders of biology is probably essential. If you're a newcomer you've got that whole glorious learning curve to look forward to and we, and our...

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD- X360

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD is proof positive that sometimes all you really need to kickstart a series is to go back to its roots. While there are still a few glitches and notable absences we'd like to see ironed out, we're already dreaming up which...
