Tony Hawk's Project 8

We look back at the Hawk man's last effort just weeks before his next, this is truly the first next-generation of Tony Hawk and it wouldn't be fair unless we talked about how this one did before Proving Ground is out.

Ah Suburbia, a quant cul-de-sac with white picket fences, green grass and a half-pipe. Wait a minute, a half pipe? That can only mean one thing... it's time for some bone breaking, insane and out of this world skateboarding. Tony Hawk has done it once...

Great game to say the least. Outstanding presentation, easy to learn controls, some beautiful visuals and not to mention a well made list of achievements, this game will keep you staring at your TV for hours on end. Very impressed with the NeverSoft...

Tony Hawk`s Project 8 on Xbox 360

If you have been playing Tony Hawk games since their inception on the PSOne or Dreamcast, then you will enjoy your time spent with this latest edition. However, newbies will feel constantly overwhelmed and will dismiss this game in a heartbeat due to...

Tony Hawk’s Project 8

It has to be difficult to make sequels in the Tony Hawk series – after all, just how many places can there be to virtually skateboard? While the series has at least a pretense of realism about it, the developers should branch out and give gamers the...

Huge open environment with no load times ; Tons of goals with varying skill levels ; New Focus and Nail The Trick features ; Same familiar Tony Hawk gaming experience

Limited character creation ; No Create-A-Park ; Enough with the School Level already ; Same familiar Tony Hawk gaming experience

The first truly "next-gen" Tony Hawk game looks and plays great. A worthy addition to your collection.

Tony Hawk's Project 8

The last time I played a Tony Hawk title I swore the series off. It veered off on a tangent that really didn't fit with the type of game that was fun to play, but that was THUG2 and times have changed. Tony Hawk's Project 8, names so not because it's...

As I mentioned early on, I was “Tony Hawked out” after playing through the Pro Skater series and then picking up what I viewed as a step backwards in THUG2. Thankfully I safely can say that I was highly entertained by this title, and even complained...

Tony Hawk's Project 8

I'm sure we are all well aware that the Tony Hawk series has been on the decline. After the Pro Skater days, Neversoft took Mr. Hawk to the barren wasteland that was the brief Underground stint. Two terrible games, followed up on the 360 by American...

A few small glitches cause frustration at times, but Project 8 stays fresh and interesting for quite a while. Buy this game as a holiday gift for your mother, grandmother, great uncle, or younger cousin, and I can guarantee they won't be disappointed.

Tony Hawk's Project 8 - Xbox 360 review at Thunderbolt Games

The Tony Hawk series has been slowly declining for a while now. It's not that the games are of poor quality, but there's a big problem with games delivering an experience significantly less revolutionary than they are advertised to be. For example,...

Tony Hawk's Project 8

After going through last year's Tony Hawk's American Wasteland I started to worry that the series was starting to lose some of its charm. The game was a lot like the rest of the series, but it felt like it was simply going through the motions instead...

Project 8 does a great job of improving the graphics and refocusing the series on what made it so fun to begin with. Unfortunately the game is marred by some questionable level designs and a complete lack of innovation. But if you can get over those...

Tony Hawk's Project 8

Although the Tony Hawk franchise has seen a large number of sequels, on the whole, each new release offers very few major changes. Sure they add some new button combos or a new move, but nothing that fundamentally changes the way the game feels (Ah....

This is still, fundamentally, Tony Hawk skating, which is always a good thing. Multiplayer "Walls" is a great way to play online. The graphics have improved by leaps and bounds. Create-A-Trick makes this game worth playing

Level design is sub-par. You can't help but feel like you have done it all before. It's missing, fun, multiplayer modes from previous version. Stripped-down Create-a-Skater and Create-a-Park
