Tony Hawk's Proving Ground (Xbox 360)

If you've ever had d&eacure;jà vu of a d&eacure;jà vu that reminded you of a time that you had d&eacure;jà vu, you'll know exactly how I felt when I fired up Tony Hawk's Proving Ground. It's the ninth installment in the Hawk series, and it does what...

This review is based on a retail copy of Tony Hawk's Proving Ground that was rented from the Hollywood Video near where the reviewer lives. Because he is very thorough -- and kind of a doofus -- the reviewer ended up racking up a huge late penalty. He...

Tony Hawks Proving Ground on Xbox 360

Another Year, Another Tony Hawk

Everyone who has bought every Tony Hawk game thus far knows what they’re getting; a game about skateboarding, and that’s all. And when it comes to that, it is pretty good. It’s got loads of tricks, precise, but not overly-simplistic or difficult...

Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground

Tony Hawk games have become the Madden for the punk rock crowd. Beyond some graphical airbrushes, and altered rosters there isn't much to differentiate each installment from the last. Underground brought the create-a-skater function to the forefront of...

The environment is so expansive that it'd be easier to count all the things you can't do ; The RPG elements, and various story branches allow for a ton of replay value

Something new in multiplayer would be nice, this has barely changed since the beginning of the series

Tony Hawk games have evolved over time, and this title shows that it has an eye on the future, and keeping the franchise fresh. There is a distinct focus to make this game have a certain atmosphere, and it succeeds. This is my new favorite in the series.

"This is a game that I look forward to trying to complete. I'm sure it will take a long time, and I'm cool with that."

Tony Hawk's Proving Ground Review

It's the holiday season, folks, and that means there's a new Tony Hawk game in stores. It's the ninth year in a row now, and at least until this year, there were very few choices available in the skateboarding genre. Tony Hawk veterans know what'll be...

From the two-minute, almost completely useless tutorial that pretty much expects you to have played Tony Hawk games before to a wide range of difficulty on many of the goals and new features that just plain suck, Tony Hawk's Proving Ground simply fails...

In Tony Hawks Proving Ground, you create your own story. This authentic skating experience gives you the freedom to truly define your character, story, and style based on the choices you make, the path you select, and the styles of skating you choose....

Tony Hawk's Proving Ground Xbox 360 Review

The Tony Hawk's series has gone for so long without any solid competition, although this past October saw the release of EA's well received Skate, and when games are published by the world beating EA it normally means you've got some real competition...

Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground is another great sequel in the franchise, and loyalists should be satisfied with the new additions. There‘s certainly room for both Hawk and Skate, as even if they share the source material of skateboarding, both have...

Tony Hawk's Proving Ground

Predictably, Proving Ground falls into the 'more of the same category', but if you know you like Tony Hawk, you should certainly feel comfortable here.

Worth a rent...maybe

Plain and simply, it's the old Tony Hawk format but concentrating on doing wacky stunts (thanks to Margera) then skateboarding and getting high scores. Honestly, after the stereotyped characters you interact with, i felt ashamed to be a skateboarder.

Final Game

It looks as though this will be Neversoft's last Tony Hawks game, and it's not exactly a good farewell. I am a massive Tony Hawks fan, and have played the series right from the beginning. For me Project 8 was the best, and after a long time I managed...
