Transformers: Fall Of Cybertron

Following Transformers: War For Cybertron, we now get Transformers: Fall Of Cybertron, telling the last days of the conflict between the Autobots and Decepticons as it is set against the backdrop of their home planet. Of course their conflict would...

Solid gameplay with change-up to keep things fresh ; Plenty of fanservice ; Good balance between saving up for a special attack or new/upgraded equipment

No more co-op gameplay ; Dinobot section needed reworking

Worth picking up for those looking to do battle with big transforming robots.

Transformers: War For Cybertron was the game all fans knew was possible but had never really happened: a good Transformers game (the PS2 one was okay, but not great). What is it about London developers realizing long-crushed dreams of fanboys...

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron

Never underestimate the power of nostalgia. It's the reason why we liked Transformers: War for Cybertron perhaps more than it deserved, although it was undoubtedly the best Transformers game since now defunct developer Melbourne House's effort back in...

Supreme fan service, an epic sense of scale and plenty of gameplay variety ensure that Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is not only an unreservedly brilliant sequel, but is inarguably the best Transformers game we've played. It's got the touch. It's got...

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron Review

Director Michael Bay made a big splash in bringing Transformers to the big screen, but since the first movie, the franchise has started to lose its footing. With the exception of the misguided Dark of the Moon game that launched alongside the third...

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron won't likely garner many Game of the Year awards since it just slightly misses the mark on a few key points, but what it does bring is some serious passion for a great property. What's important this time around is that...

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron Review

Can Fall of Cybertron recapture the spirit of War for Cybertron without campaign co-op? We return to the dying planet to find out.

Campaign co-op is definitely missed, but Fall's superior single-player mode goes a long way to make up for it. Escalation raises the bar on the now-requisite survival mode, and competitive matches—complemented by a strong character progression and...

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron

I was 10 years old when my childhood came to sudden and tragic halt. I remember the exact moment that it happened. I was sitting in a movie theater on my 10th birthday watching 1986's Transformers: The Movie and during the film's opening battle, Prowl...

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is a lot of fun, even if its looks aren’t on par with its gameplay. It does, however perfectly capture the essence of Transformers and is worth checking out whether you’re a life-long Transformers fan or just watched it...

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron Review

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron offers some entertaining action, lots of explosions, and few surprises.

Flight levels are great fun ; Several sequences make you feel remarkably powerful ; Roller coaster of a final level ; Strong cooperative and competitive play

Unfocused campaign is too often more exciting to watch than to play ; Final encounter is a joke ; Level design at odds with shooting model

This constant flipping from one type of gameplay to another is a departure from the monotony that crept into War for Cybertron. At times, the game focuses so much on mixing things up that it loses focus: developer High Moon never deepens or strengthens...

Overall, fans of Transformers video games should be pleased. Despite the lack of co-op, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is fast-paced fun with a good amount of variety to keep you engaged. Interesting multi-player elements such as "Escalation" mode and...

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron Review

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron sacrifices flexibility for a unique identity as a "Transformers Game."

Fall of Cybertron is a game you should pick up if you are in love with the Transformers storyline. It's better than its predecessor in pretty much all areas except flexibility. But this is okay. The lack of flexibility actually gives the game more of...

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron Xbox 360 Review

Whilst High Moon studios' previous Transformers game, Transformers: Dark of the Moon was passable, their earlier offering, Transformers: War for Cybertron, however, was a memorable and accomplished title and was the best use of the licence since...

Those that expect Transformers: Fall of Cybertron to do anything to transform the genre will come away disappointed at just how little its inner circuitry has changed since the first game, though many fans of Transformers will be willing to overlook...
