Trine 2

Trine 2 starts off with the three characters from Trine rejoining together in a quest to save the princess. There's no deep storyline here. A wizard is disturbed by a light and follows it through the forest. Two other characters are puzzled by a...

Once upon a time, a devoted father and his two children, his sweet son and daughter, embarked on an epic journey. There was no where and no why, only adventure. Across many beautiful and strange landscapes, the trio ventured. Along the way, they had...

Trine 2 is one of the best-looking XBLA games out there. The visuals really are a wonder to behold. Its gameplay is solid and fun by yourself or with friends; unfortunately, there are a handful of annoyances that hold Trine 2 back from true greatness.

Everything you'd expect from your typical fantasy fair is here - but everything is so distinct and full of life that it's hard to ignore. Easily one of 2011's most surprising and best looking games, Trine 2 pops with personality, color and distinction.

If I'm playing as a Wizard, I want to have cool powers, and the trainer from Cheat Happens gives me perhaps some of the coolest powers I can get. I used the float mode a lot, which let me bypass certain tricky sections of the game, and get hidden...

I don't think anyone really plays platformers for their story. I can't remember the last time I met someone that said “damn, the story on that platformer really blew my mind.” Now before you start to think that I'm going to pull one over on you and...

Trine 2 is a charming fantasy platformer with dazzling good looks and fun physics puzzles.

Gorgeous visuals ; Fun, open-ended physics puzzles ; Smooth, accessible platforming ; Fun co-op, online and off

Unremarkable story

The storybook-style narration is genteel, and the heroes are amiably voiced. The music is rousing, too. Here, as with story and setting, Trine 2 cleaves comfortably to the genre, with all of the cheery piping of a high-class Renaissance fair. If you...

Probably the initial moments of the level set in a castle on a beach, because it is simply gorgeous.
