UFC Personal Trainer Review

If there's one thing that the Kinect doesn't have a shortage of, it's workout-related video games. Several publishers want you to get in shape with their motion-supported efforts, including THQ (The Biggest Loser), Ubisoft (Your Shape: Fitness Evolved)...

The tempo for UFC Personal Trainer is definitely upbeat, and that’s one thing that works to its advantages. Rather than run you through more casual exercises like the other games, this one actually requires a bit of work. In fact, it might be too...

UFC: Personal Trainer Review

The fitness game for badasses.

No-nonsense look and feel, feels true to the license, genuinely tough (effective) workouts, fantastic sparring exercises

Kinect tracking is far from perfect, the trainers repeat their lines far too often

UFC Personal Trainer

Our first fight with UFC Personal Trainer wasn't in the Octagon, but rather with the whole rigmarole involved in setting up Kinect to do the obligatory fitness test before you can actually get into the meat of what the game (if you can call it that)...

UFC Personal Trainer is a great addition to the small stable of fitness games on Kinect, offering something that's both in-depth and incredibly intense. However, it's simply let down by a lack of more casual, enjoyable game aspects and pointless...

Time to work on my ninja skills.

Authentic UFC trainers; Customizable workouts; Good graphics and sound for a fitness game

Could emphasize technique more; Could have more martial art moves

Not good

Honestly the Kinect is just another disfunctional piece of garbage from Microsoft. The game obviously needs to have it's consistency worked on as well but I doubt the kinect is helping it make up for any of its inadequacies.

Would be ok I guess if it worked correctly

Not sure what to say other than it doesn't work consistently at all. I have ample space, the kinect is mounted ideally but it just doesn't register well at all. I'm a 7 year personal trainer with a B.S. in Strength and Conditioning and my push-ups...

Ok but not great.

It's a good workout if you stick with it. I really think it was made for slightly overweight people and not fat many fat people can do a v-up none that I know and they throw that move into the begginer mode.

The idea of this game is great...Hitting the mitts works well and is pretty fun for a bit ; It does work you out for sure ; I use it to fill in the gaps when I can't get outside and get real excersise

Poor tracking...alot of the excercises will not be tracked well by the kinect so you will end up doing more reps and/or getting shamed by the animated trainer. I find myself yelling "because your software sucks" at the tv at least twice per workout

Save your money and go for a walk

The game also freezes at times or gets interupted by it's inability to connect to the UFCPT servers, which seem to go down a few times a week. It continuously fails to recognize certain movements.' It fails to award all achievements and avatar...

The interactivity with a workout is a great concept but

it's beaten by inoperability in this game. I only had 3 days left of my 30 day cut weight program. So tonight, I looked at the calendar and it showed I would be doing 32 exercises tonight so before I started, I did some side by side challenges with...

Imagine if Mel B just walked in and started punching people

Exercise is a good thing

Trainers don't have much personality ; Utter lack of coaching ; Slight use of Kinect ; Motivation-sapping voice control

Look at me while I'm flailing
