UFC Undisputed 3

After a near-two year absence, the Undisputed series is back with the best overall MMA game yet. After the second Undisputed game, EA's entry on the genre came out and raised the bar when it came to created fighter sharing, delivering a fun career...

The only issue I have with the audio is the lackluster choice of theme music - granted, they had hundreds of songs to put in, but the music is largely pretty boring aside from some songs, like Wanderlei Silva's PRIDE music being wonderfully wacky....

Sports games face quite a dilemma. With the pressure of yearly releases, developers are forced to decide between adding sexy new features and fixing the problems of the past. With Undisputed 3, developer Yuke's smartly decided to forego the yearly...

After taking a break from the franchise to avoid the dreaded annual fatigue, UFC Undisputed is back and ready to step into the Octagon for its hard-hitting third instalment. With the superb EA MMA comfortably filling the gap in its absence, Undisputed...

If the online does improve then UFC Undisputed 3 is the most complete game in the franchise. As a rendition of Mixed Martial Arts it successfully captures the intricacies of the sport, building and refining upon its existing systems and introducing new...

I've never really been in a fight. Oh I've been punched, and I've maybe thrown a few punches of my own from time to time, but not in years. Looking back, I can't begin to imagine how or why I found myself in such situations. If presented with the...

UFC Undisputed 3 may not be flashy but it gets the job done by recreating the strategy and position game of real MMA matches along with the brutal punches and kicks. Despite an awful mini-game that decides the outcome of submission holds, once you...

Punching and kicking faces has never been more popular. Not lately anyway. And with MMA and by extension the UFC brand now part of the everyday cultural lexicon and zeitgeist, the UFC Undisputed series is the daddy of virtual mixed martial arts....

UFC Undisputed 3 is a triumphant return for the ultimate fighting champion, with more modes and options than you can shake a clenched fist at. In the octagon, the action is tighter, more fluid and still fun to play, but the submission system seems like...

Cry in the dojo. Laugh on the battlefield.

Overall improvements to fighting system; Better, understandable submission system; All-around higher difficulty; Pride FC; Less stat management in Career mode; Wealth of new modes and CAF; Online fight camps and creation uploads

Mini-games are not well-explained

UFC Undisputed 3 takes no prisoners. Even though the franchise remains as imposing as ever, it's nigh-impossible to claim that this installment is not a staggering improvement. Short of bludgeoning and bloodying us over the head, UFC Undisputed 3 will...

It's probably outside the scope of a video game review to talk about the downfall of boxing as a major spectator sport and the rise of mixed martial arts, and whether those two things happening simultaneously is somehow connected. Suffice it to say...

UFC Undisputed 3 is an all-around major improvement over previous games in the series. The roster is more well-rounded, the visuals and audio have been improved, and the gameplay is more balanced with a wider range of options. Despite issues with the...

UFC Undisputed 3

THQ has taken an extra year of time to update and polish the newest version of the increasingly popular UFC game: UFC Undisputed 3 (gone are the yearly names of 2009 and 2010), and from what Xboxaddict got to try out during this week of fights at UFC...

UFC Undisputed 3 Review (Xbox 360)

The Ultimate Fighting Championship has blown up in the past 10 years from being a sport of obscurity to this huge empire built from the age old concept of beating the living crap out of someone, like the sport of mixed martial arts itself, the UFC...

UFC Undisputed 3

While doing their best to avoid that much-hated tag of being yet another annual sports title, Undisputed took a little time away from the octagon, however it's back - but is it bigger and badder than ever? We let Sarge find out...

a roster of over 150 fighters ; an extensive and not-always-boring tutorial ; easy to pick up for those that haven't played an Undisputed title before ; enough new stuff to keep fans amused for hours ; plenty of online features

some of the menus are a little too confusing ; the Create A Fighter doesn't quite have the freedom that it perhaps should, making it feel a little dated

If you love the UFC, this is a no-brainer - you will love this title, no questions. Seriously - I made this review shorter than my usual reviews to save you time reading, so you can spend more time playing the damn thing! They taken everything you know...
