Vampire Rain (Xbox 360)

Playing Splinter Cell with vampires isn't as cool in reality as it is on paper. Despite an absolutely fantastic concept that transforms Sam Fisher's spies and saboteurs into postmodern bloodsuckers called Nightwalkers, insta-death difficulty and...

A horror based stealth shooter centred on vampires or "Nightwalkers"roaming the streets looking for fresh meat to chew.....Sounds good eh..??

Along with your team of spec ops you are instructed to make your way throughout the city trying your hardest to not get seen by the freaks out for a feed(which are damn near impossible to kill).

Vampire Rain is a game with a great concept. You are part of a tactical squad sent into a city infested with vampires. Immediately I think... cool time to start ...

This mess of a game doesn’t do the Xbox 360 justice and really makes me dread the next vampire game to come out. The only thing this game really has that is decent are the graphics and those aren’t even that great. If you like torture I would...

Suck applies to this game in more ways than one.

There are a few multiplayer modes, but the system is hardly used online and is really, really off balance. There's also a quick mission mode that has you taking on some small objectives outside of the campaign, but everything that's wrong with the main...

The stealth genre is already well represented in gaming. Heavy hitters like Metal Gear and Splinter Cell have loyal followings and sell well each release. I can understand why a developer would want to get a piece of the pie. In order to do so, you...

Surely someone's idea of a bloody cruel joke, Vampire Rain is indeed horrific.

It beats decapitation; gameplay does improve in latter stages

Abominable enemy design; frustratingly linear missions; throwback visuals

The good news: There are some seriously Sam Fisher-esque black-ops commandos out there who are fighting a secret war against the plague of vampirism that threatens to roll over America. The bad news: They tried to make it into a game -- or, more to the...

Vampire Rain starts with the promising notion of mashing up stealth-combat gameplay with ultra-dangerous vampires. Protagonist John Lloyd is, for all stylistic purposes, a Fearless Vampire Hunter version of Splinter Cell's Sam Fisher, right down to the...

I hate starting reviews with a negative comment but to be quite honest there is little positive to say about Vampire Rain. This is one of the worst games available for the Xbox 360 and by all means it should be avoided. Don't make eye contact with it...

I have never played a game that so desperately wanted you to fail and hate it. The combat is a joke, the control is sluggish, it lacks creativity in every way, and the presentation is terrible all around. I'm just amazed that this game was released...
