Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise Review for Xbox 360: Party Hard on Pinata Island!

Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise lets you create your own garden and attract cute little pinatas. The game's challenging, fun and entertaining levels will certainly make you a die-hard Pinata fan.

Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise

It's time to don your favourite pair of shades as the ultra-colourful and vibrant critters that inhabit Piñata Island are back with a vengeance (metaphorically speaking, Viva Piñata 3: The REVENGE will tell that particular story). Once again we're all...

A great gardening/breeding game that improves upon the original in many ways, but maybe not enough to justify you paying full price. For the people who have yet to experience the Piñata phenomenon you should pick this up – what's kept you?

Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise

Better than its predecessor

Trouble in Paradise is a very basic sequel, making smart albeit predictable improvements to the Viva Piñata formula. If you own the original, there is not quite enough new content here to warrant another investment of your time and money. However, if...

Review: Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise

Let's be clear. Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise is not Viva Pinata 2. It's merely a belated expansion. A sequel takes place during a significant event, and the great problem in this game isn't treated with even the slightest bit of severity. A sequel...

Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise

REVIEW: Reheated and drenched in sweet-and-sour sauce

Adorable creature designs and playful antics

Difficulty veers from exploitable simplicity to insurmountable aggravation.; Helpers are hopelessly unreliable

Why does the Vision cam often turn on/off while you play?

Viva Piñata Trouble in Paradise

Return to magical Pinata Island in Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise. Unfortunately, not all is well on the island, as Professor Pester and his gang of Ruffians have wiped out Pinata Central's computer records, posing a threat to parties everywhere....

Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise

It doesn't change a whole lot, but improves on most of the weak spots from the original. The most fulfilling and fun title in the series yet, and as a bonus, it's playable by the whole family.

Cute and colourful graphics. 32 new piñata to play with. Accessible for all ages. Solid multiplayer

The helpers aren't that helpful. Might not be the dramatic change that one might expect from a sequel

Fun for all ages!

Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise

Buy Trouble in Paradise, name your piñatas after celebrities, friends and family members, dress them up like fashion disasters and realise you're playing one of the best games of the year.

Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise

Debuting during the same period as Microsoft's ‘other' franchise in the latter part of 2006, Viva Piñata was very much an unappreciated and often misunderstood gaming gem. As clued-up gamers dared to purchase the gaudy gardening-sim, cries of “It's a...

Viva Pinata: Trouble In Paradise

Move over Pokemon, the Viva Pinata crew are back with a proper sequel (forget about the mini-game frenzy Party Animals, this is the real deal) on Xbox 360. While perhaps not the commercial success that Microsoft and Rare had hoped it would be, the...

All in all, Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise does retain the same level of charm as the original, and it's a fine way of passing the time. The ability to play with friends is a definite plus, while the capturing of the wild Pinata is a neat addition...
