X-Men Origins: Wolverine

This is a fairly easy game to summarize: If God of War and Uncharted got together to have babies, Wolverine would be their offspring. While not as polished or innovative as the games that inspire it, Origins definitely sets the bar pretty high for...

It's obvious from the beginning that this game isn't trying to do anything new or terribly innovative. Origins does action, and does it well. It also does visceral, bloody combat extremely well. The addition of environmental kills makes the already...

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Raven Software\'s depiction of Wolverine has more in common with slasher-flick icon Freddy Krueger than the PG-13 hero Marvel Comics has portrayed in its movies and cartoons. Where the two identities differ is in the follow-through of his claw attack....

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

James Howlett aka Logan aka Wolverine is on a mission in Africa with Team X run by William Stryker. This is where X-Men Origins: Wolverine the video game begins and revisits time and time again. Setting and gore are the two things that set this movie...

You might buy it for the story but you'll won't throw it away because of the action. Some great moments make up for the the bad of X-Men Origins Wolverine the video game's glued together story. A short campaign and no multiplayer or much other content...

X-Men Origins: Wolverine Xbox 360 Game Review

X-Men Origins: Wolverine's only weakness is its story, which is a convoluted mess by the end. The engaging, entertaining, and highly satisfying combat is what we came to this game for and it delivers in giant rips and tears that will leave you bloody...

X-Men Origins: Wolverine [PS3, X360]

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is based on the movie of the same name and although film ports don't have a great track record, this is an exception as it is quite a good game.  It has a variety of standard, special moves and other features to keep your...

Great variety of moves ; Excellent graphics ; Superb gameplay ; Fighting mutants from the movie ; Fighting the Sentinel

A few Glitches ; No online play ; No replay value

X-Men fans, Wolverine fans in particular will revel in the opportunity to play an entire game dedicated to the mighty clawed one, so this was either going to be a disappointment or a great experience, thankfully it was more the latter.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

But it takes a few liberties in order to lengthen the experience. Needless to say, narrative junkies are better off watching the film and not playing the game

That’s not to say the combat needed extra assistance to be deemed as “fun.” X-Men Origins is your typical action game, but with a few extra touches added on to make the style of fighting seem unique to the character. Wolverine has several abilities...

X-Men Origins: Wolverine Game Review - Xbox 360

Raven's experience in developing Marvel Ultimate Alliance is almost immediately identifiable, given the 3rd person camera view, button-mashing beat ‘em up gameplay, action figure collecting, and leveling up. At times it felt like we were playing Marvel...

You want to make sure you unlock all 50 achievements

It's short and can be completed in a few days

Logan has a long-range attack of sorts, where he locks onto enemies from a distance and then lunges with his claws extended. This attack will not only be used profusely to quickly engage gun-wielding enemies, but is also implemented as a means to...

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Throughout the years, we've seen quite a few different versions of Wolverine. There's the grizzled loner from the comics and early cartoons, the hesitant mentor from the films and oddly enough - the leader as seen in the new Wolverine and the X-men...

Let's face it - you're playing X-men Origins: Wolverine for the combat and little else. The best moments of said combat are when you use your rage meter and get to go all out. Using Cheat happens trainer you can unlock unlimited rage and show those...

X-Men Origins: Wolverine "Uncaged Edition" review

Ever wanted to be Wolverine? With X-Men Origins: Wolverine, we are given that chance. Activision boasts this is title that dominates all other movie-based game, and we're testing that claim.

When it comes to storytelling, X-Men Origins: Wolverine falls flat on its face. There is a plot, loosely stringing together a haphazard sequence of events. Overall, it's not very engaging.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine -- Uncaged Edition

Logan's first M-rated romp is a cut above most Hollywood games but is still a troubled experience.

Offers up fun and entertaining ultra-violent combat that captures the character's essence

Bland, boring levels, anticlimactic boss battles, and incoherent story mar the experience
