Samsung HT-X715

By Ian Morris (cnet.co.uk)

The Samsung HT-X715 gives you a good reason to stay home instead of going to the cinema. This 5.1 surround-sound system with built-in DVD player could be a great all-in-one complement to your nice television, handling movie soundtracks plus DVD and Blu-ra...

Styling; picture quality; movies sound great

Subwoofer lets down the music reproduction; separates system would produce a much better sound on all material

The Samsung HT-X715 is very easy to set up and it does make your movies look and sound good. We just didn't care for the music sound quality, which was fine in the mid and high end but sounded flabby at low frequency

Review: Samsung HT-X715

By Ian Morris, CNET.co.uk (asia.cnet.com)

This 5.1 channel surround sound system has an inbuilt 1080p DVD player and is great for movie soundtracks, but average on music.

Stylish design; brilliant picture quality; movies sound great.

Subwoofer lets down the music reproduction.

The Samsung HT-X715 is very easy to set up and it does make your movies look and sound good. Music-wise, it was fine in the mids and highs, but sounded flabby at low frequency.
