The Sony Ericsson K850i has a gorgeous display, a wide range of features, and desirable sound quality. It's also a fantastic camera phone with outstanding photo quality.
The Sony Ericsson K850i's navigation array and touch controls take a little getting used to. Also, the keypad buttons are rather small.
Though its navigation controls and keypad aren't up to par, the Sony Ericsson K850i is one of the finest camera phones we've seen.

The K850 is Sony Ericsson's camera flagship phone of the year packing the 5 mega pixel camera with auto focus, xenon flash, BestPic, Cyber-shot technologies and a whole lot of extra features. But of course it's not just a phone with a great camera - it's
The Sony Ericsson K850 is a 5 megapixel cameraphone with a host of photographer friendly features, such as BestPic. Russell takes the K850 out for spin and comes up impressed by the phone overall, though he questions the odd d-pad controller.
Image isn't everything. Beyond a solid Cyber-shot-branded cam, this tidy 118 gram candy bar comes chock full of sweet, easy-to-master programs that let you edit, remix and publish sharp pics and vid clips on the fly. In minutes, we whipped up a 45-second,...
Truly pocket-size; accelerometer allows quick-flips between landscape and portrait. Swift and seamless, on-the-go publishing to Blogger. Always-on headlight option for dim video shoots. BestPic takes rapid sequence of nine images - bonus: "best" recommend...
No optical zoom. Sluggish Auto Fix takes 30-45 seconds per pic. Snapping shots silences FM radio. No Wi-Fi, no GPS, no geocoded vaca pics. Neither a 3.5 mm nor a 2.5mm headhpone jack (better RFID that Sony FastPort set of earbuds!)

In the world of high tech, you don't want your product to come out a month after your competitor's, let alone 6 months. That's the itchy-scratchy position Sony Ericsson finds themselves in with the K850i coming out a half a year after the flagship Nokia N...
Great camera with faster camera performance than the N95, fantastic display, excellent Bluetooth with a large selection of profiles and good range, has both M2 and microSD card slots. Good battery life for a 3G phone with a Xenon flash. Finally, standard
Keypad isn't good for heavy texters. Great touch controls, but funky d-pad. Nighttime and dim scene imaging on automatic setting is not good. Fast port connector instead of 2.5 or 3.5mm stereo jack (why do we still have to buy a high-end Walkman phone to
The K850i improves significantly on the Cybershot K790i it replaces. Though on the surface it looks like a face-lifted version of the K790i and K800i, inside there's a lot of good new stuff going on: the 5MP camera with improved still images and much impr...

Camera quality doesn't meet the expectations
We are disappointed by the Sony Ericsson K850 and how it performs as a camera. Really, considering it is the top Cyber-shot branded phone, it should be one of the best on the market, but the comparison with the old N95 and the G600 shows different things....
Sounds like a pretty solid handset on all accounts.
5 Megapixel Cyber-shot mobile phone from the Sony Ericsson stable. But is a photographer's dream machine?
The K850i's camera ability is second to none, although the odd keypad layout may not appeal to everyone
