Nokia N96

The Nokia N96 features 16GB of storage and advanced multimedia features, including a 5-megapixel camera. The smartphone also has integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and 3G support.

The N96 froze on a couple of occasions and can sometimes be sluggish. Nokia's Ovi services aren't fully activated in North America, so you can't take advantage of those extra capabilities. It's also expensive.

Though the Nokia N96 is a powerful all-in-one smartphone with an impressive amount of user storage, it's not a significant upgrade to the N95 and is outdone by new devices coming to market, including the Nokia N97.

The Pantech C630 has a rather dull design, plus it lacks a self-portrait mirror.

The Pantech C630 is surprisingly feature-packed for such a simple and affordable phone.

LG Invision - (AT&T)

The LG Invision has a great display, admirable call quality, and a slim, lightweight form factor.

The LG Invision's unusual keypad arrangement may take acclimation, and the photo quality is disappointing. There is also no self-portrait mirror.

Despite its quirky design, if you want an affordable AT&T Mobile TV handset, the LG Invision is the one to get.

HTC Touch Pro (Verizon Wireless)

The HTC Touch Pro for Verizon Wireless offers a full QWERTY keyboard and a gorgeous touch screen. The Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone also offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and EV-DO Rev. A support.

The Verizon Touch Pro is buggy and incredibly slow. It has less onboard RAM than the Sprint and AT&T versions, and the battery drains quickly. There's no standard headphone jack.

While the HTC Touch Pro for Verizon Wireless offers business users a full-featured smartphone, it's painfully slow and not worth the frustration or money.

Samsung Delve SCH-r800 (Alltel)

The Samsung Delve has a sleek design with an easy-to-use touch interface. The multimedia-centric feature set offers a fair amount of options and the call is satisfying.

The Samsung Delve lacks Wi-Fi, full e-mail syncing, and an accelerometer. Its volume level could be just a tad louder.

The Samsung Delve is an attractive, multimedia phone with good call performance. It lacks some important features for business users, but it remains a solid addition to U.S. Cellular's lineup.

Samsung X460

Very slim and lightweight; distinctive look; excellent battery life; solid brushed-metal construction; comfortable keyboard.

Overpriced compared with comparable 14-inch laptops; you'll need to appreciate a black-and-red color scheme.

If you want an thin and light 14-inch laptop or just love the distinctive look, the Samsung X460 is an impressive piece of hardware, but you'll find better value elsewhere.

Motorola I776

The Motorola i776 offers satisfying call quality and the full slate of Nextel features in a compact, easy-to-use design.

The Motorola i776's volume level is rather low and its camera is low grade.

Though its volume could be just a bit louder, the Motorola i776 is a decent Nextel phone. Just don't buy it for its camera.

LG Incite (AT&T)

The LG Incite is an attractive touch-screen phone with Windows Mobile 6.1. Features include a whole host of productivity and multimedia features like Microsoft ActiveSync, Office Mobile, and a 3-megapixel camera. It offers both Wi-Fi and HSDPA connectivit...

The LG Incite has rather sluggish performance, and we weren't always pleased with the touch interface. We also think the surface can be a little too reflective, and we don't like that the stylus isn't built-in.

Samsung SGH A777

The Samsung SGH-A777 has a sturdy design with a midrange, multimedia feature set and good call quality.

The Samsung SGH-A777's keypad is slick and the navigation array has an unintuitive design.

The Samsung SGH-A777 is a decent 3G slider phone, but there's not much to distinguish it from comparable devices.
