In this special 2-in-1 review, I'll be reviewing both the Canon PowerShot A510 and A520 at the same time. I will alternate between the views of these two cameras in the camera tour.
The Canon PowerShot A510 and A520 have both full manual controls and are very affordable. Despite a new 4x optical zoom lens and the ability to take overall great photos, the A510 and A520 both still lack something. If you read about the release of all 20...

The new Olympus Stylus 800 packs 8 megapixels of power, an array of manual controls and a large high-resolution LCD into a compact all-weather package. Those 3 are not the only new features - The Stylus 800 has a ton of improvements compared to the Olympu...
The Olympus Stylus 800 is a great compact camera which has 8 megapixel, manual controls, a large sharp LCD and some great features. The placements of the buttons on the back on both sides of the camera make one hand shooting rather hard to do if you chang...
Kodak's second dual lens camera is the V610. While the V570 specialized in ultra-wide shooting, the V610 is an ultra-zoom camera. Other features of this dual lens Kodak include 6 megapixels, a large 2.8 inch LCD and being Bluetooth enabled.
The Kodak EasyShare V610 is a compact camera with a 10X zoom range and big LCD. Despite being an "ultra-zoom" camera, the V610 has more in common with compact point-and-shoot cameras. The V610 is different from other cameras in some ways such as having Bl...
I wouldn't consider the new Sony T50 to be an upgrade to the T30 but here it goes: The Cyber-shot T50 takes the T30, strips most of its buttons and replaces that large 3 inch LCD with a touchscreen unit. Other than that, it's basically the same camera. Th...
The Sony Cyber-shot T50 is takes everything from the T30, throws away most of its buttons and puts in a touchscreen panel. Other things remain the same; 7 megapixels, internal lens with an image stabilizer, movie mode and LCD visibility.
Finally, a new concept for digital cameras! The rather odd-looking EasyShare V570 from Kodak is the first camera to feature dual lenses - One is your average 3x zoom lens while the other is an ultra-wide 23 mm lens. Behind those lenses are not one, but tw...
The Kodak EasyShare V570 is an ultra-thin camera with 5 megapixels, a 3x optical zoom lens, 2.5 inch LCD and lots of scene modes souped up with an extra wide 23 mm lens and an extra image sensor for it.
The new Sony Cyber-shot DSC-M2 is the second of the Sony Cyber-shot M-series which feature a unique vertical design and excellent movie mode. Other than that, the Sony Cyber-shot M2 has 5 megapixels, a 2.5 inch LCD and a "hybrid movie function" with still...
The Sony Cyber-shot M2 is quite an interesting one of a kind hybrid camera. It combines 5 megapixels of resolution along with an excellent movie mode. The rotating LCD gives more room for "creative" photos and movies, given that it can rotate to almost an...
The Sony Cyber-shot W30 is the first of 2 new compact W series cameras from Sony capable of taking photos at high sensitivities. It shares the 6 megapixel CCD, 3x optical zoom and ISO 1000 capabilities with the W50 (which retails for $20 more). The W50 ha...
The Sony Cyber-shot W30 is essentially a W50 with a smaller LCD. The W30 and W50 are both about 10% smaller than the W5 yet features a 6 megapixel CCD, 3x zoom lens with the same specifications, excellent battery life and can still support conversion lens...
The Sony Cyber-shot S40 is one of the 3 new "S" digital cameras that Sony introduced this year, in early 2005. Though this is a great beginner's camera, Sony has at included some features which will please intermediate and some novice digital camera users...
The Sony Cyber-shot S40 is a great camera, comparable to others in its class. Battery life is excellent, especially even with the LCD on and using only 2 AAs. The S40 feels tough, even on the memory card and battery doors. Though they are limited and pres...
The Canon PowerShot A530 has 5 megapixels, a 1.8 inch LCD and a 4X zoom lens it shares with the cameras above. This camera may be distinguished from the higher-end A540 in several ways, but is image quality one of those points? Let's find out more about t...
I'll make this short and simple, the A530 is a watered down A540 which sells at a lower price. Things like battery life and image quality are still good and the full manual mode is a plus. Performance was snappy too.
