Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite

Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite

By Dave Jansen

HDMI support, 1080p resolution on HD-DVD, 120GB hard drive, Black finish

Expensive, No dedicated optical out port, No remote control, restrictive hard drive transfer procedures

The Xbox 360 Elite is an attractive new shell for an already impressive gaming console. We would have liked to see the new features handled a little better but overall, it's still the same as the original Xbox 360.

Nintendo Wii

Nintendo Wii

By Danny Allen (PC World)

Enjoyment factor, intuitive and tactile controls, design, user interface, affordable

Graphics and system power not up to standard of competing consoles

The Wii's ridiculously enjoyable titles and innovative, motion-sensitive controllers help make it feel more like a toy you'll want to share with a group of players than a console you'd use strictly on your own for hours on end. If you have a group of frie...

Power Color X1950PRO AGP

PowerColor X1950Pro Xtreme 512MB

By Elias Plastiras (PC World)

Strong performance, Quiet operation, Video-in

The cooler doesn't have a rear exhaust to let warm air escape from your PC case

This card costs a little more than cards that are based on the standard version of the Radeon X1950 Pro GPU, but it also offers a little more performance than those cards and it also has a video-in port.

Sharp LC37AW5X

Sharp LC37AW5X

By Dave Jansen

Excellent High Definition quality, Good Standard Definition quality, Attractive design, Great price point

Over sharpening in HD, Image noise in SD, Limited connection options, No PC connection

The LC37AW5X is a quite a good television but it is not up to the same standard as its predecessors. It performs well in both Standard and High Definition, but has some sharpening issues and poor connectivity support which stop it from scoring higher.

TI Value 1500

TI Value 1500

By Jesse Sutton (PC World)

Dedicated graphics, 250mm side mounted fan, upgrade potential, four front loading USB ports.

nothing of note

The TI Value 1500 is a tough little system. Between the encoding, gaming and World Bench 5 tests you're looking at a good all round package that will do just about anything you need and has some upgrade potential for when the time comes.

NU Dolphin Swimmer MP3 Player

Waterproof

Low grade sound quality, counter-intuitive interface

While the Dolphin delivers on its promise of waterproof playback, the poor audio quality is rather disappointing.

Megxon MX7

Megxon MX7

By Andrew Kliem

Multiple functions, low cost

Poor sharpness, high chromatic aberration, poor MP3 sound quality, slow operation, slightly confusing menu

Overall, the Megxon MX7 isn't really worth your money. It's poor image quality and slow operation combined with the distorted audio from the music player make this a disappointing product.
