Excellent high definition and gaming performance, great integrated speakers
Some issues with standard-definition scaling, small amounts of pixelation in PC mode

High price tag
The Pioneer KURO PDP-508XDA is easily the best plasma television we have reviewed thus far. Even though it is a little more expensive than other 50in plasmas on the market, it is money well spent.
Exceptional high-definition and standard-definition performance, great design, xxcellent PC performance
No automatic resolution detection on PC mode, speakers distort at high volumes
The LG 32LB9D is an exceptional LCD television which performed brilliantly across all resolutions.

Pixelation during HD gaming, noticeable noise and pixilation in SD video playback, No digital tuner.
The Toshiba REGZA 37WL68A is a well-priced mid-range LCD television that performs well when viewing HD movies but has shortcomings in other areas.
Excellent Blu-Ray and HD-DVD playback, intelligent standard definition interpolation, good colour reproduction
Pixelation and contrast stepping during gaming tests, Black fade in issues, No 1920x1080 PC support, No Digital Tuner
The Toshiba REGZA 47WL68A is a good all-round 1080p unit. It's not perfect and doesn't quite sit in the same league as the high-end units on the market, but at this price point, it represents excellent value for money.
Excellent image quality in standard and high definition modes, Excellent colour reproduction, Attractive design
Non-standard rear connections with no supplied specialty cabling, Auto aspect ratio bugs, some noise in darker elements in standard definition mode
While the image quality is high and the sound quality is good, the connectivity options on the 42PFL7532D, as well as the required calibration time, aren't user-friendly.
Excellent image quality at 1080p and high definition modes, Good standard definition scaling, Superb PC mode, Wide range of connection options, Attractive Design
Some minor pixelation during 720p gaming, Images were too dark at times
The LC52PD7X is an excellent LCD TV for those wishing to enter the world of 1080p and high definition content. Its price tag is high, but if you have the cash to spend, you won't be disappointed.
