Excellent image quality in well lit environments, integrated microphone, easy to set up, attractive design, face tracking abilities

The Logitech QuickCam Pro for Notebooks is an excellent webcam which can produce high quality images in well lit environments. Unfortunately, like most webcams, its image quality suffers when the lighting is not optimal.

The WVC54GC doesn't work well in poor lighting and the video image is only slightly better than most YouTube material. However, it's relatively cheap and has a reasonable array of security features.

It isn't a professional CCTV camera. It's far too expensive, too big, has a fixed base, has digital zoom only and it's not that easy to set up
