The latest Apple Macbook beats its predecessor with a modest speed bump to a 2.2GHz processor and a move to Intel's X3100 graphics processor.
With a choice of operating systems at your disposal, the Macbook is a flexible machine, although you'll also need to factor in the cost of a copy of Windows if you plan to go down this route. Performance is good if you're not into gaming and it looks grea...

Mvix's Wireless HD MX-760HD boasts some nice capabilities. Besides supporting mainstream video formats such as MP4, DivX and XviD, the Mvix Wireless HD MX-760HD plays unusual formats such as ISO DVD images, DVD files, VCD files and streaming Mpeg2 DVD fil...
We liked being able to install our own hard drive. But, despite the Mvix Wireless HD MX-760HD's very good picture and audio quality, wide format support and hard drive option, design issues make the Mvix Wireless HD MX-760HD an iffy proposition for anyone...

The Canon Pixma MP510 makes an excellent choice if you're looking for a straightforward printer/scanner combo capable of printing good-looking photos, though its colour LCD could be bigger.

The Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT is an affordable Direct 10.0 graphics card from ATI.
The Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT lacks an obvious purpose. If you're a gamer on a shoestring budget, you might find this worth a try, but we'd seriously recommend you save up a bit and go for the 3850 Pro - at the very least.

The Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT is the least expensive of the new ATI cards we've seen
If all you want is a card that'll make a nice job of displaying video, the Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT is a pretty solid bet. It's quite pretty, cheap and doesn't need an internal power connector, so it's extremely quiet. However, it isn't even able to...

The Gateway GM5074b is a typical example of what you can expect should you go with a Gateway PC.
Less a straight PC system and more of a media centre, the Gateway GM5074b is a nicely constructed product. It perhaps lacks a little in terms of raw components, but its TV tuner, software bundle and all-round ease of use will make it a great addition to m...

Tivoli's iYiYi (pronounced "eye-eye-eye", apparently), is a pretty nifty iPod speaker system.
Tivoli Audio's iYiYi is one of the better desktop iPod speaker systems we've tested. Even though it doesn't match the sound quality of the best systems in its class, the iYiYi sounds quite good and provides an extensive set of features, stellar FM recepti...

The USUSRobotics Wireless Ndx Router USR805464 is the latest draft-n wireless router to emerge from USRobotics. This particular range is 'draft 1.0-compliant' but with draft 2.0 up for approval right now and final ratification due no earlier than Septembe...
We've yet to be blown away by the performance of any draft-n wireless device, and the US Robotics Wireless Ndx Router USR805464 does nothing to change this. Nevertheless, it's an easy to use, nicely priced wireless router that's as fast as its rivals but...

The HP 2700n seems to have been engineered, rather than designed. The toner system includes a clever latching mechanism which reveals the fragile light-sensitive drums as you close the cover, protecting them while it's open.
The HP 2700n is a good middle-of-the-road model, with reassuring build quality and the benefit of HP's good reputation. But it's difficult to get excited by this colour laser printer.
