This trackball-style mouse is a credible alternative to the traditional mouse, using a large weighted ball
We won't be replacing our mouse with this trackball version for professional work, but for users seeking an alternative hand position this Kensington Optical Expert Mouse may be just the ticket. It's also very handy when desk space is restricted.

With the Air Mouse, Gyration has a portable optical mouse with a wireless connection - but much more than that, it is a full motion-sensing mouse, able to operate seemingly in thin air.
The Gyration Air Mouse is a well-made mouse that, excusing its less than perfect laser tracking, is a real boon for use at home to operate media centre systems from the comfort of the sofa, or thanks to its 30m range, for impressive business presentations...
Road warriors who pack a mouse into a laptop bag want something small and durable, like Microsoft's Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 3000 Special Edition. Despite its small size, it's a comfortable mouse that tracks well.
The Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 3000 Special Edition is a solid travel mouse. It feels good and tracks well - and with its colours, it even has a little bit of design flair.
The Freeloader is a battery pack that can be charged from a computer via USB or, for the more environmentally conscious user, from the sun via solar panels.
The Freeloader is a great way to prolong gadget use in the great outdoors, and you can feel all smug and green, too.

At first glance, the Macally Turtle appears to be simply an attractive wireless mouse - perhaps a bit small and light for desktop use, but a good size for a welcome traveling companion for your laptop.
At £20, the versatile, comfortable Macally Turtle is a steal - we'd pay that much for its powerful driver software alone.

If you spend £93 on a mouse, you want it to be a mighty fine one - and Evoluent's VerticalMouse 3 Wireless is worth every penny.
Even if you're not already experiencing pain from the unnatural forearm rotation required by traditional mice, the Evoluent VerticalMouse 3 Wireless will provide comfort and control you never anticipated. Sure, it takes some getting used to, but the first...
With the exception of Apple's now-defunct single-button mouse - beloved by Luddite Mac fans everywhere - input devices don't get much simpler than the Kensington Ci73 Wired Mouse.
The Kensington Ci73 Wired Mouse is as basic a mouse as you can find these days. It works and it's inexpensive. If that's all you need, then you will be happy.
With both wireless and wired operation; the Kensington Ci75m Wireless Notebook Mouse's USB cable curls up inside its easy-to-open body.
Wired or wireless, the Kensington Ci75m Wireless Notebook Mouse is a great travelling companion. Solid, comfortable, accurate, and attractive - it's available in orange, grey, white, or black.
At only three quarters of an inch high, the Kensington SlimBlade Media Mouse was made for the traveling music lover.
Kensington's SlimBlade Media Mouse is great if you're looking for media control and sleek design in addition to basic mouse functions. The lightweight, slim body is great for travelers. It performed to my expectations and the novelty of the navigation pad...
