Thinking of all the fluid replacement hours I am going to save over the next 3 years brings a big smile to my face. Every new cooling loop build list will have FluidXP Ultra at the top of it from now on. USE THIS COOLANT NOW.
All-in-one, straight outta the bottle solution. - Prevents algae growth. - Prevents sludge and other build-up. - Allows the use of different metals in your loop. - The best cooling performance of the non-conductives tested. - Available in an array of colo...
A bit pricey compared to other coolants.
I was intending to acquire some of their Extreme formula coolant since we have reviewed it in the past and it won a Recommended Award from AntiM, a very experience watercooling uberg33k. :) To my surprise, they wanted to send me some of their new product...

You have to hand it to Zalman to try to push an aging product. The added LED fan gives the CNPS7700-AlCu LED a new look for a far cheaper price than the Fatal1ty cooler.
Still a good performer - Can be near silent - Added red LED fan - Lighter than the all copper model - Active cooling for surrounding electronics - Still has the "Bling"
Still a heavy product - Size has limitation to compatible system boards - Where are the AM2 mounts? - Not that great of a performer vs price
I have wanted to leave my gaming rig alone for the fact that it's my home system but times change and so does testing equipment. I first started using all stock heatsinks just to try to keep from having to pull equipment on and off. Man was that a joke, t...
If the Ultra Products ChillTec was in the 50 dollar range I would consider recommending it to others and overlook the shortcomings because it does give you a couple of degree advantage over straight heatsink cooling.
both running at the same time

With all of the players in the industry vying for the consumers dollar, Zalman has consistently put out a product that is near the top of the heap every time, if not THE top performer. This time is no exception.
Attractive finish. - Nice weight. - All copper (although nickel plated). - Competitively priced. - LED fan. - Very quiet on lower speeds.
Only 1 color available for LEDs; no option for no LEDs.- Very large cooler; Doesn't fit in all cases.- Heavy.
Please keep in mind that I used absolutely no case fans during this testing so if you do, and have good case airflow, you may achieve even better results. Ambient room temp was 74F or 23.33C
The Vortex XP block has the potential to be a real contender with the top blocks. I can only imagine what they have planned for a high end pump and radiator. Until then this block can be the heart of any custom kit.
Performance - Light weight - Compact - Good finish on base plate
Price a little high - Barbs are close together
The block is easily dissected by removing the 4 machine screws, and separating the Delrin sections with the base plate. The top and mid section are bonded together to reduce chances of leakage. The coolant enters the center barb through the top and middle...

At around $20, the Extreme Spirit II is a worthwhile investment for the enthusiast crowd. Few coolers are going to perform significantly better in this role than the Extreme Spirit II from what we have seen in testing here.
Well built - Universal mounting option - Exceptional performance - Low noise levels - Good price point
May have fit issues on some boards with large CPU coolers.- LED blinks at low speeds

Extremely easy installation and a solid stock fan make it a prime candidate as a stock HSF replacement for the non-overclocker or first-timer.
Low profile - Easy installation - Looks cool - Good stock fan + rheostat included - Can't poison you
Construction could be better- Mediocre performance- Rough base plate finish- Packaging could be better- Mounting springs relax over time- Slept with my sister

The thought that you need to bring your CPU up to ridiculously high temps just to get it to set is ludicrous. I had to actually stop all active cooling to reach those temps, and it still did not set like it should.
Cool idea- Easy installation- Uhhhh....
Poor Performance - Requires Close to CPU Killing Temps to Fully Set - $15 For a 3 Pack and Must be Replaced With Every Application
. In order to get some heat going, I pulled out an AMD64 3800+ Newcastle that runs at 2.4GHz and feeds on 1.5V. I noticed the dark stain on the top of the heatspreader and realized that this was the same processor that I used to test the original Coollabo...

If you dont mind insane amounts of noise, then you can have high-end water cooling performance at a fraction of the cost. If you want a very quiet CPU cooler, you can still have very good performance plus lots of room to overclock.
Excellent performance - Excellent performance to noise ratio - Option for very low noise levels - Good price point - Outstanding build quality
Will not fit in some cases - May not fit some motherboards- Heavy- AM2 mounting requires optional kit.
Testing was conducted by running Prime95 for a timed period and read with the on-board temp sensor. Temps were recorded in Fahrenheit and converted to Celsius to provide better resolution and a temp probe was placed beside the IHS to confirm temps. The "C...

The performance of the Zalman FC-ZV9 is impressive to say the least. The engineering and construction is impeccable, and the heatpipes can take your benchmarking scores to a whole new level. The only drawback, and it is a big one, is the poor adhesive tha...
