I like this lense but haven't used it enough yet to give a good review. It is heavy so I tend to use another lense when I go out.

I was only able to borrow this lens and use it indoors.. I did not like it very much. it seems like it made my photos noisy/grainy even with a higher ISO. but it is built well and I'm sure it makes for nicer photos outdoors.

When I bought the Minolta 9xi Maxxum, way back when i used film, I was name brand specific. After shooting with my Minolta lens, I sold it to obtain a Tamron, and have several Tamron lenses that I wouldn't trade for anything else.
