The TomTom GO 920 T is the company's high-end portable GPS unit, and it's loaded with features and includes maps for North America, Canada and Europe. It accepts addresses...
Display is easy to read; lots of features; remote control
Spoken address feature is buggy; lacks iPhone support; expensive; lots of issues
TomTom's GO 920 is chock-full of cool extras, including maps of Europe.
Includes maps of Europe. Quick and responsive menus. Text-to-speech conversion. Multisegment routing. Map Share provides community-based map and POI updates.
TomTom PLUS weather and traffic services don't work with Sprint or Verizon handsets. Speech recognition limited to address input.
The TomTom GO 920 is a much better value than the company's previous model, the highly rated GO 720particularly if you plan on traveling to Europe. If you have a supported phone with a data plan on AT&T or T-Mobile, it's even better.
Both versions of the GO 920 (there's also the $649.95 GO 920T, which includes an integrated traffic receiver) include a feature that TomTom calls Enhanced Positioning Technology (EPT). When we reviewed the TomTom GO 720 back in September, the...
The TomTom GO 920 is the best portable GPS navigator the company has out right now. It was just released at the end of September so there is a good chance it will be sitting around the top for years to come. Some people might even call this device revolut...
The TomTom GO920/920T represents one of the best GPS units on the market, and is clearly a top choice for those who love the TomTom brand. The 920T is a decent step up from the 720 in price, but adds the TMC antenna, remote voice recognition capability, a...
As of this writing, the TomTom GO 920T is the top of the line GPS system from TomTom. No holding back, no features left out for other higher end models. And for North American users the 920T and 920 is currently the only model to offer voice prompted addr...
The 920T adds mapping of both North America and Europe in the internal memory. If those maps are not enough- say you are going to Australia- then you can load maps onto an SD card and put the card into the empty SD card slot. There is only about 170 MB of...
You say the name of the street and the TomTom 920T responds with a list of streets that sound like they could be good matches, and you speak the number next to the name of the correct street. If you're going to go for it, you might as well jump in...
Special Note! The 920 and 920T are identical products except for the traffic receiver. We wanted to keep separate pages to track the slightly different specification and to keep the pricing separate, however to check out our review you will want to view o...
As we had predicted, the TomTom 920 was announced. Most of our predictions of features were accurate or close, with very few misses. So what does the 920 offer? As with the 910, the biggest attraction of the 920 will be map coverage. Pre-installed are map...
The 920 and 920T are identical products except for the traffic receiver. To hold all of those maps the GO 920 comes with 4 GB of internal memory. The 920T will include the traffic receiver and the 920 (no "T") will make the RDS-TMC traffic...
The TomTom GO 920T re-establishes the company as the top dog for GPS navigation. With a 109mm (4.3-inch) screen, this sat-nav focuses on the navigational experience rather than multimedia gimmicks. You get an excellent text-to-speech interface and traffic...
Voice recognition; text-to-speech; hi-res screen; map corrections; easy to use; safety cameras; QuickGPS utility
Intermittent TMC/FM performance; Bluetooth setup; map detail
The TomTom GO 920T re-establishes the company as the top dog for GPS navigation. Its widescreen format has lost weight from its 910 predecessor and it now focuses on the navigational aides rather than multimedia gimmicks. As a result you have voice recogn...
TomTom has ripped out the internal hard drive for the 920T and replaced this with 4GB of internal storage, with an optional SD card slot. TomTom's interface also remains as good as ever, ensuring quick navigation and fast access through the menu...
The TomTom 920 T's home screen makes it easy to choose your destination and other essential features
Big, widescreen display; excellent directions; MapShare; text-to-speech
Penny-pinching on accessories; subscription charges; poor Points Of Interest; too many frivolous add-ons
It would be great if it worked as well as advertised but, like every other voice recognition system ever invented, the reality is it's a lot less certain to recognise your well-rounded vowels, forcing you to eventually abandon the idea. Like the 720 T, th...
For part of the reason TomTom posted an 83 per cent drop in profits this week is that most people who want a satnav probably have gone and bought one, and around half of them have plumped for a TomTom Go. Like the TomTo Go 720 T, the 920 T alsoÂ...
The latest TomTom Go920T has arrived, which essentially replaces the previous 910 as the flag ship device. Gone is the internal hard drive which has been exchanged for 4GB of ...
The Go920T is a SatNav packed to the hilt with loads of features/ utilities to aid with Navigation. For sure its TMC receiver needs proper placement to get the best from it, but it does pick up local traffic problems. The text-to-speech was extremely us...
