Panasonic remains as committed to plasma as ever and continues to create some fantastic TVs. The Viera TH4-2PX70 uses its tenth-generation panel, and it certainly seems as though the Japanese company is learning with each new iteration

Not 1080p; sound lacks deep bass; only two HDMI inputs
Available as the TH-42PX70PED with pedestal stand and the TH-42PX70CAB with a cabinet, the Panasonic Viera PX70 is an excellent television that, while not offering full 1080p, manages to make both standard- and high-definition material shine

Panasonic's TH-50PX70 is an impeccably designed 50-inch plasma, with equally impressive build quality and a gorgeous picture. If you're looking for a high-quality flat-screen TV at an affordable price, look no further
Colour reproduction and strong black levels; smooth motion; classy build quality
Not a 'Full HD' panel; no side inputs; reflective screen surface

The 42PX70 is certainly no oil painting, but it does mostly hit the mark with its connections

Had this set for a couple of months now..very impressed - mainly because you get such a good picture for the price.
When watching 720p content sourced from something better than the free-to-air HD stuff it looks ABSOLUTELY stunning! Plenty of inputs round the back and 1080p/i downscaling.
Like everyone else says, the sound isn't great, but so what, use an amp and speakers!
May not have all the on paper whiz bang specs but in the real world for most people this is a great set. Excellent picture and everyone who has seen mine has assumed it was full 1080 as the image is that good. Sound very ordinary but you have a system wit...
simple easy set up and quality picture
not as tune-able as some?
Picked one up for $1800. Compared it directly with the 1080p model. Couldn't see $1500 of difference. In fact the blacks and colour seemed better on this baby. Specifications aren't everything
Great picture. Easy to setup.
