Pretty Amazing

By N/A

The best video editor that I have found for this is Pinnacle 12, which I hate to even admit. My previous experience with 10 & 11 were horrible. I vowed never to ever use it again, but 12 seems to be stable and pretty quick. You had better have a beefy sys...

Unbelievable picture. I was astonished in the difference between this and my older sony hi-8. Very very easy to use...the wife has no trouble with it. Its also much similar to operate than my previous cameras. I would highly recommend it

Amazing camcorder

By w2000

I purchased this camcorder for use by a school athletic program, to capture game films and burn to DVD. The image, from my testing, is very good, I can set the unit in Record mode burn directly to DVD Recorder. I have done some work in highest quality, th...

Compact size Quiet operation Excellent image quality Many interfaces, all access points detailed and covered Does better than expected in lower light

WOW!!! NICE!!!

By Thermos77

Heard there are issues with Vista Ultimate 64bit, well thats what I have and I have no issues, all programs installed. Bought a 16GB card to go with it. Again NO ISSUES with VISTA ULTIMATE 64bit

Can not get over how small this thing is, its the size of a soda can. Very easy to use. Software was easy to install. Took some pix and video real quick and imported and edited it, no problems. Happy so far.

It's about time....

By Shooter

Vimeo on the web is a great place to learn more about HD content and the future of this format on the internet.

Am I in a technology time warp here? I've waited 10 years for this camera to become what it is today ; and I must say, it is smaller than I had envisioned! I also waited 10 years for the DSLR camera to come on scene including the flat panel wide screen TV...

Stabilization can be tricky and it is a trade off with these small cameras. It also doesn't like low light conditions, but show me a video camera that doesn't

nice shooter

By adkos

tons of plastic flaps, ports located all over, AVCHD is probably not ready for primetime.

really small, simple buttons, great image quality, microphone jack, lots of output options.

the menus could be better-implemented. to access many functions you have to scroll through a small tree on the right, and you can only go one way through the list. the video modes are not streightforward- all shoot at 1440x1080 except for FXP, which is 19...

so far so good

By ryan

If you're looking for out of the box functionality/usability this camera may not be for you. With each new review I read and with each new experience I have with my own HF100, the more I think this camera is meant for professional use vs. consumer. If you...

This is a great little video camera. I purchased it in anticipation of my new baby due in August because I no longer want to have to record to Hi8 using my Sony Handycam. The extra high quality video using the HF100 is exactly what I was looking for. The...

Hmm...well I took a half dozen sample videos as soon as I had the battery charged, I tried several different formats to get the overall feel for how the camera works. I had read many reviews before buying it and many people are having a difficult time wit...

Spectacular camera

By bjred

Awesome camera, zoom is excellent, smooth and controlled. HC cards are fast and quickly accessed. If you read anything negative, as I did before buying this camera, don't believe it. It is definatelu operator error-just read the manual. I just opened, cha...

Canon VIXIA HF100 2.7" LCD 12X Optical Zoom High Definition Camcorder

By lemieux66

No reason not to shoot in HD with a camcorder at this price point. Worth every penny!

Recording onto flash memory enables me to instantly playback my 4 year old nephew on the TV. Don't need to capture video onto PC like tape camcorders. You can just copy the files and begin editing. I'll never go back to tape! The picture quality is amazin...

Like all consumer digital camcorders the low lighting performance is just ok, however this does perform better than my Sony minidv camcorder that is only a few years old. Probably need to get the larger battery if recording for longer than an hour.

AWESOME

By Viperion

Wal Mart has a nice Body Glove case for under $20 bucks to put the camcorder in and it looks cool.

The camcorder is small and perfect fit for carrying. The stability is excellent for walking around. The video quality is oustanding for this price and the ease of use is AWESOME. So simple to use right out of the box. Easy plugin right to your TV (I have...

Must have card reader for SDHC, software that it comes with is useless, get Nero and-or Pinnacle Studio

Big Camera in Small Package

By Losttsol

Unlike a previous reviewer, the bundled video software worked fine with my 64 Bit Vista Home Premium. However, Vista Home Movie Maker does not recognize this camera's file type if you were planning on using it. You'll have to convert it to something more...

Compact and lightweight. Easy to navigate the menu. At 30 FPS, the video is superb for home use. Zoomed objects remain crisp and clear. Not much learning curve with this product, the controls are fairly intuitive. Wide angle and 1.5x tele converter lens a...

The video light is so-so. Zoom lever is almost too easy to use and you have to be careful not to touch it. Editing software is about as basic as there is, but works.
