"Excellent machine for all purposes. Beware the Monitor"

Quiet, fast and comes ready to go. Good value for price and ahead of the RAM game for gaming and pictures

The video card could be more current and the monitor hook up limits you to VGA on most Gateway monitors

"Very impressive - particularly considering the cost"

By HowardFox

BIG bang for the buck. Would be very difficul...

Bought yesterday, setup was quick and easy. Immediately tested with 3DMark - scored 12,600+, besting average for this class of machine by fairly good margin including our custom built $2,000+ machine.

Mediocre case - looks nice but interior nothing special. Very little stock cooling but seems to run reasonably cool nonetheless. No overclocking possible with current BIOS.

Your review is completely wrong. I went to st...

Powerful - it is the only computer I found at the retail level that hit the maximum 5.9 on the Windows Experience Score Scale. For your reference the $3,000 Blackbird only got a 5.6. Really well built and cuts through apps like hot knife thru butter

Runs hot. Almost too hot. I think it did crash on me once because of the heat. Maybe should have used DDR3 RAM.

It's fast, no overheating problems with this computer, great performance for the buck........did my homework and I got an A+++.

Other than having to accept Vista versus Windows XP, that's the only "con" from me....
