Canon PowerShot SD790 IS

By Jojo Sacdalan

The IXUS 90 IS here in Manila, Philippines is what they call if outside U.S. Just bought yesterday and its a great P&S digitial camera. Why? Its rock solid, edgy and it has UA lens with improved IS feature. Improved Face detection and a new Motion detecti...

So far no problems.. I will try to run some test in one(1) week for any issues if there is any problem before my one(1) ends, i still have a choice to return for a new brand new replacement.. Still its the best their is unlike the other competition..

Canon PowerShot SD790 IS

Very happy with the SD790IS. I tried the SD890IS (actually, two of them) and was very disappointed with th eimage quality. On a whim I tried the SD790IS, and the image quality (straight out of the camera with no post processing) is SIGNIFICANTLY better....

Love this little camera. Great color rendition and it takes great pictures almost every time. The build quality is excellent with the all metal body. I was kinda skeptical but after reading the reviews, I picked up the camera from Costco. Nice pictures...

Took some sample shots and was truly amazed by its IQ straight out of the box. Very good definition, sharpness, colour and contrast, noise very well controlled and nearly no smearing and artefacts. The jpg IQ of this cam outclasses the jpg IQ of the G9....

I have had quite a few small cameras from the S400, SD870 and Fuji F20 & F30 but this is by far my favorite carry anytime pocket camera. The low light capabilities may not be quite as good as the Fuji's but it beats them soundly in daylight shots and I li...

This camera is my 3rd point and shoot and its fantastic in terms of handling - both physical and digital. The body is metal - feels and looks durable - and the weight of the camera feels good in my hand and is not as light/flimsy as other ultra-compact...

None, I've used it for over month and shot 1000's of pictures :) on 2 battery charges.

Canon PowerShot SD790 IS

Just got new SD 790IS. I've owned SD700, 800, 850(still have). Two main reason to get 790 are: (1) larger LCD. All three other P'n S have viewfinders but I seldom use it at all. (2) better focusing capability. SD 850 has problem focusing at very low ligh...

This is an excellent all around pocket camera. Very durable, quick to start up, picture quality is excellent, colors vibrant but not overly saturated. The screen and buttons are well placed and designed. Avi movies are memory hogs, but they look so much b...

Like most if not all point n shoots its inside and low light capabilities are lacking. Manual controls are missing, I would love to be able to change the aperature or shutter speed, etc. 3x optical zoom and no optical zooming during movies. Can't change t...
