Excellent image quality for a compact, useable crisp images even at iso 800 and does very well in almost all lighting conditions

image quality ; fast zoom, no distortion ; good auto focus ; wealth of features for a compact

battery life ; body style kind of difficult to get a good grip on

I was really surprised by this cams low light performance. No fringing and WB was right on in the most demanding mixed lighting situations. The high IQ of this cams rises it above above all.

Industry best high ISO performance for a P&S. Excellent lens. WB is second to none.

Higher ISO should be optional under IS.

Am wondering if Cnet tested this camera for the pink bank anomaly appearing at higher ISO: http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/readflat.asp?forum=1012&thread=27330596&page=1

I love my cam! Bought a black f100fd in Tokyo, took lots of pictures of the bright lights - at night. All hand held and all iso 4-800. Superb colour, great sharpness. In daylight, it is true, the sunny sky is not blown out exposing darker objects elsewher...

Excellent handheld night shots, low noise. Depth of colour - true likeness to the real world, with blue skies visible exposing darker foregrounds and such - no more blown out "white skies ; Wide angle is nice to have too

Not the sexiest design, but functional ; I wish the underwater housing was more widely available ; The lens cover is not so tight, dust gets in, or it could be just dirty pockets on my side
